I had my doubts at first about this product, after all creme brulee is usually served hot with a flaming torch burning the top to boot. Upon opening the bag, it was all powder. Once water was added, the consistency and texture sort of resembled pudding. While mixing make sure to use your spoon, fork, etc to make sure you get down in the corners and bottom of the bag. Now needless to say adding water, mixing and letting this sit as per the directions, did not feel very creme a la creme for making creme brulee. I originally was only going to have half the bag (one serving) and WELL let me tell you, once the allotted time passed and I opened up the bag to eat, I ate the whole bag in one go. It was DELICIOUS!!! Even the sugar pieces tasted like the torches top of a creme brulee one would have in a restaurant. I am very impressed with how good the taste is. All in all for quality, ease of making and the taste I give you 5/5. I highly recommend trying this.

I don’t generally bother with a desert when I’m camping but this was surprisingly worth it. Packs nice and flat and weighs basically nothing. Quick to make, just take the two packets out before you ad water, throw away the dehumidifying one then sprinkle on the sugar crunch bits after it’s “cooked” for 10 min (which are surprisingly nice). The only downside is there’s no like “fill to this line mark” and the consistency is quite sensitive to the amount of water you put in (3/4 a cup) and such a specific measure is a bit hard to get to on the road. Tastes very nice though. There’s like a bajillian additives but it’s not like your eating it regularly so that didn’t bother me.

We enjoyed it very much. Made it using almond milk instead of water for Easter. Wonderful to have in your stash for a quick dessert. One pouch made 2 custard size small servings. It is very rich tasting. I couldn't have eaten more than 1 serving.

This backpacking dessert brings my soul to life. It's so rich and creamy and the flavor is delicious. I find the package a PITA to stir and eat out of, so I'll repackage it at home before a trip then make it in my cool pot. And I put the sugar topping into a separate small zip lock because otherwise it's super hard and messy to open, but that's a small price to pay for a tasty treat. I can easily eat the whole dessert by myself, but sometimes I'll split it into two servings to stretch out my pudding-y joy.
