Can you put tees in it on a practice mat, or does it need to go into grass?

There are three holes in the axis of the mirror at the rear ,and two holes on the side ,where you can stick tees in. But there's no need to fix the mirror down on a mat ,neither on the turf as you do not touch the mirror when you put

Since the ball is nestled in the cove at address wouldn't the ball even if misstroked stay on line because the cove edges?

I’ve never had this problem and it’s helped my putting

Does it work for left handers?

Absolutely! Place the alignment mirror on your putting surface and a golf ball in the slot. Use the mirror to check your head position, take the putter back over the alignment guide on the mirror and putt the ball away from the mirror. (Left handers and right handers would stand on opposite sides of the mirror.)
