Genuine chain. There is a huge amount of R&D and engineering that goes into a modern bike chain. This Shimano moves my Cube electric bike around all terrains without noise or slip. The provided link is engineered to perfection and will require careful squeezing, use decent chain pliers and enjoy the CLICK! These chains are lasting me 800 miles with heavy use as the norm. Bargain!

It wasn’t fit for purpose
The chain link was faulty so it was pretty useless and a waste of money. Unfortunately it was fitted after the return period due to it being winter.

An Essential Part
I run Shimano Deore on my mountain bike and love how hard wearing they are and how high the quality of parts are for the price. This is just going to sit on the shelf until it's time to change my current one over at the point of either a) chain wear or b) damage. Always like to have basic spares like these at home so I can always sort things out quick and easy like these without having to go to the bike shop or wait for delivery.

don't throw your old chain before you open the pack
the chain itself is ok, however i was very disappointed to find there was no link to connect both ends, even though it shows a link in the advert, just as well i had the old one.
