Question 1

Will these caps work on general aerosol cans like rust penetrater? Will the red spray straws also attach as well?

Accepted Answer

If you have the new WD-40 cans, then no, they will not work. Nor will they accept the red straws from the old WD-40 cans. But for classic rattle cans, they are a Godsend.

Question 2

Good for Krylon?

Accepted Answer

These will work with just about anything you put through them. Just remember, if the spray paint can has a male piece on the top you will need a cap adapter for these to work.

Question 3

will this work on a regular rust-olium paint can?

Accepted Answer

NO. NO. NO. Unless you want a disaster. At least 50% or more comes out around the shaft. The shaft that goes down into the can is smaller diameter than the Rustoleum nozzle and possibly more than 50% of the paint comes out and covers hands and anything it can drip on. I used fish oil capsules to clean my hands, as Rustoleum is fish oil based, so the dietary supplements worked well to dissolve the paint.

Question 4

will this work on a regular rust-olium paint can. I have over a dozen half filled cans and no matter how I clean the caps, they will not spray!
