Diesel Technology: Fundamentals, Service, Repair

I bought the book to enhance my knowledge of diesel engines. I own two Cummins diesels and have many customers that own diesels. The book is well written, easily read, easy to understand, and well organized. Its a text book so a little previous knowledge with diesels is helpful. The information is presented in theory as most text books are and has a work book that goes along with it to enhance your learning experience if you wish to buy it separate. The end of the chapters also have review questions if your interested in serious learning. I would recommend this book to anyone studying diesel engines. Remember its a text book not a tech manual. The book was in great shape & I received it promptly when ordered from the seller. I would buy from them again.

Very nice book, simple but thorough. It's very easy to find your way amongst chapters a find a desired topic. For example, if you want to learn about injector nozzels, just find them in contents and it will take you directly to it. All info in one place. No need to scroll thru the whole book. Good for engine rebuilders and workshops. Every engine part is nicely described and supported by nice illustrations. Also there are troubleshooting, assembly and disassembly procedures with pictures.

I haven't figured out where the answers are to the questions that are listed after every chapter. I believe you have to purchase the workbook.not sure. I just go back and review through the reading for now.

This book is very detailed and easy to understand. My fiancé can now rebuild his f250 without cussing and yelling lol. This was our first rodeo with a diesel and this book has been a life saver. He did go to automotive schooling but they only covered regular gasoline engines. Thank you again for putting this out there for the public to use!

I needed this workbook for my Diesel class. It was well underpriced compared the the campus bookstore, so i had to buy it! This workbook co-relates to the hard-back textbook. I received it in a timely manor and all pages and covers were intact.

If you want to learn about diesels and their service. This is THE manual. It also has study questions at the end of each chapter that are very helpful.

I am a driver and I always wanted to know how an engine worked. After reading this book, I felt confident enough in my knowledge that I finally went out and bought a truck. Now I can talk to mechanics about what is wrong and even shop for parts to get the best deal when I have problems (which is pretty rare).

Perfect! I needed this book for a friend to have for the diesel class they are taking, and this was cheaper than the school was selling it for so this is great! I was skeptical of whether or not this was the correct/most current edition, and it is! Thanks Amazon!
