Coming from a ROG delta, these headphones are amazing. They are much lighter and are much more comfortable. In my opinion these headphones have the absolute best surround sound of any headphones ever made, mainly due to the QUAD DAC and snr of 130 DB. Overall 5/5, but I got it used, like new, for £70, which is more than £80-£100 less than new, so only get it if you can find a price like this in my opinion.

Reading the reviews I thought this was the headset i needed, and definitely was going to be a winner for me. The headset itself was comfortable, I’ll give it that, the sound was okay, honestly the comments here made it out to seem like the headphones were crystal clear and sounded amazing, it was seriously mediocre. The mic was the MOST disappointing part of this headset. My lord, I’ve never have a more horrible experience. My voice deepened by 50%, it literally added a lisp to my speech and would cut out simultaneously. My long term friends couldn’t even recognise it was me who was speaking because I sounded like a completely different person. I tried to like the headset I really did, wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt but honestly it’s just a major flop. For the price especially, like it’s just garbage. I wanted a new headset to replace my first gaming headset which is a XIBERIA one, and it’s about £30 and I swear , that cheaper headset compared to the Delta S is 1000x better. I highly suggest people AVOID this product if you don’t want to sound like some middle aged discord admin who hasn’t seen daylight in 25 years.

Build quality is great, they look crisp and are very comfortable. The sound is top notch, i have Eq'd it to my preference and one thing that i have really noticed is that the sounds are very distinct and not muddy (coming from a corsair virtuoso) . I do like my headsets to be a bit base heavy, though this is not the case with this one. I didnt have any wearing in issues and although the software isnt the best, it does everything i would need. I havent used the microphone a huge amount, but it seems clear and i had no comments. This thing is also very light! Really liking the headset so far! Update: 26-03-21: Had to return the item. The sound is very crisp and isnt muddy at all, but the software lets down the headset massively. My headset developed an issue where the software would not communicated with the headset, so any EQ, surround sound etc would not translate, only volume. 3 stars with issue, if software isnt sorted i would say 2 stars an back to 4 if it is.

Though there are better specialist headsets out there if you're an audiophile however you'd be hard pressed to find a headset at this price (170 at time of purchase) that does as many things as this headset and to the same level of excellence. The ASUS armoury software is the key to getting the best from this headset which was easy to find, download and install. From fit and comfort to clarity of audio and an impeccable sound stage for gaming I couldn't rate this headset higher than I already have. A huge improvement over my previous headset (AKG 612 Pros) though perhaps that's to be expected for £100 more. If you're on the fence you won't regret picking these up.

Brilliant headphones, the sound quality is immense, and they link RGB wise with all of my ASUS products Had MSi ones before that were tosh, these are great and while on sale an even bigger bargain

Great headset the sound is amazing but don't know how to mute the red light comes on but when I talk it still shows me talking on the monitor screen try turning it off and on but doesn't mute

The headset worked fine , still works until a firmware update caused the dongle to not be detected in armoury crate , caused the headphones input/output to not work completely as so with the microphone. I’ve been reading many reviews of many people having a problem with this specific headset and all of them (many) lead to the firmware/updates being the issue , I only hope ASUS fixes this issue as I only owned the headset for a month and my return window closed a day after this occurred.

Das ASUS ROG Delta S ist ein hervorragendes Headset. Es spielt in jeder Hinsicht in der Spitzenklasse von Gaming-Headsets mit, die Klangqualität ist ausgezeichnet und es ist angenehm zu tragen. Ich kann es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Im Folgenden gehe ich genauer auf meine Eindrücke ein. Verpackung und Beigaben Das Headset kommt in einer hochwertigen und gut durchdachten Verpackung. Neben dem Headset selbst und dem Mikro sind ein weiteres Paar Ohrmuscheln aus Velours, ein USB-C-auf-USB-A-Verlängerungskabel, ein Quick Start Guide und eine Garantiekarte im Lieferumfang enthalten. Die vorinstallierten Ohrmuscheln sind für mich sehr angenehm, weshalb ich das andere beiliegende Paar Ohrmuscheln noch nicht getestet habe. Verarbeitung Die Verarbeitung ist, wie man es von ROG-Produkten gewohnt ist, sehr hochwertig. Es wurde recht viel Kunststoff verwendet, dieser bringt aber auch eine Gewichtsersparnis. Das Adapterkabel ist lediglich gummiert und nicht stoffummantelt. Schade finde ich außerdem, dass das Kabel fest am Headset angebracht ist. Optik Das Design des Headsets ist sehr ansprechend und fügt sich gut in die ROG-Produktwelt ein. Mit der Armoury Crate Software kann die RGB-Beleuchtung mit anderen ASUS-Geräten synchronisiert werden, sodass sehr schöne Lichteffekte erzeugt werden können. Auch die Seitenteile mit Carbon-Optik sind schön anzusehen. Tragekomfort Ich finde die D-förmigen Ohrmuscheln sehr angenehm. Der Bügel ist recht weit, man kann ihn aber sogar noch verlängern. Alle, die wie ich einen großen Kopf haben, werden sich darüber sehr freuen. Das Headset drückt nirgends und sitzt dabei fest und sicher. Dies ist auch auf die Beweglichkeit der Ohrmuscheln zurückzuführen, die sich so perfekt der Form des Kopfes und der Ohren anpassen. Auch das sehr geringe Gewicht trägt zum Tragekomfort bei. Klangqualität Das Headset ist mit Abstand das beste, das ich je hatte. Es spielt auf jeden Fall in der Spitzenklasse der Gaming-Headsets mit. Alle Tonbereiche sind sehr gut vertreten, auch der Bass ist überzeugend. Außerdem ist der Surround Sound sehr gut. Man kann tatsächlich ziemlich genau festmachen, aus welcher Richtung ein Geräusch kommt. Dadurch entsteht in jedem Spiel eine passende Klangatmosphäre. Die Töne weisen alle eine sehr hohe Auflösung auf. Software Das Headset wird über die ASUS Armoury Crate Software angesteuert. Dort kann man vom Equalizer über Firmwareaktualisierungen bis zur RGB-Beleuchtung alles einstellen. Es wurden sinnvolle Presets für den Equalizer gewählt, man kann diese aber auch nach Belieben weiter anpassen. Ich finde auch die Nachhall-Effekte toll – gerade mit der Einstellung „Live“ wird ein sehr authentisches Erlebnis ermöglicht. Mikrofon Das Mikrofon ist sehr gut. Ich habe selbst Audioaufnahmen damit gemacht und bin positiv überrascht, auch beim Gespräch über Discord etc. bekommt es durchweg positive Bewertungen. Es gibt Einstellungen, um die Klarheit der Stimme zu erhöhen und Hintergrundgeräusche zu unterdrücken. Kompatibilität Das Headset kann am PC, am iMac, allen Konsolen und Mobilgeräten verwendet werden. Fazit Das Headset ist ausgezeichnet und ich kann es jedem empfehlen. Es hat absolut hervorragende Klangeigenschaften und bietet sowohl beim Musik hören als auch beim Spielen ein großartiges Erlebnis.

Om man använder Discord, Zoom, Meet etc. så ändras volymen i lurarna efter att man avslutat samtalet. Det är inte varje gång, utan slumpmässigt. Om man ändrar volymen till noll i Windows och därefter sätter den till normal nivå så funkar det som det ska igen. Men om man glömmer det efter ett samtal, så kan man typ förlora hörseln i nästa samtal. En annan dålig grej är att lurarna inte funkar korrekt utan att man installerat Asus Armoury Crate. Vansinnigt att man inte bara kan köra med drivrutiner utan måste ha en extra applikation installerad. Armoury Crate har inte stöd för Windows 10 heller. Vet inte varför, men ASUS tänker väl att deras användare enbart kör med äldre Windowsversioner.

This was purchased for my son and he loves it, after daily use over the period of a year or 2 the chord becomes a bit curly which is annoying.
