Is this bag big enough to fit a very big/ thick puffer jacket?

I think so. If it was me, I would reduce the puffer jacket with a vacuum bag until it was quite flat, and then place in mailer. Or I would roll the coat to remove air and place in the mailer. Either way, there are lots of uses for these mailers as they can be cut down and taped for smaller items or odd shaped items.

Can you recycle these?

It does not state recycle anywhere on the bag.
