This is a great case
After doing research, I decided on this case. It's exactly what I was looking for, although, as others have stated, this is not going to save your Vita if you drop it. I like how it stays attached - it does not affect my gameplay at all, and truth be told, I like the very slight extra weight it adds. This is a steal at less than $10 - I would have been satisfied with it had I paid full retail.Only minor criticism I could come up with is it does not have a cut out at the bottom for the charger plug - you have to open the case to get to it; like I said, a minor criticism. It looks great (it's an official product), and it functions great. Five stars.

Dummy thicc but does what it’s supposed to…
So I don’t like how thick this case is once a Vita is in it, but for the price it works. I would have preferred a true case that completely encases the system (this one still has the sides exposed) but it’s a stylish alternative at least.

A bare minimum but stylish protective travel case
This particular carry case is actually just a natural evolution of the former PSP traveler which was a bulky, cumbersome, add on that left no compromises in regards to keeping your PSP paired with it. This case isn't made of polycarbonate hard plastic so it sheds the weight of the former while serving the exact same function of doubling as a stand. When I first received this thing It looked jarringly larger than I had expected and I wasn't sure I was going to be happy with it until I attached a Vita and everything made since. The Vita is connected to plastic clips that extend to allow you to hold the handheld with some degree of freedom though this means leaving the outer flaps dangling loose. I admit it takes some getting used to but it isn't so bad after a time. The Vita can be propped upright for personal viewing using the case as a stand. The overall design is minimalistic and is adequate for simple travel and play only. There are no inserts for games or accessories and I wouldn't attempt to drop your Vita and hope it survives the fall. I would describe the quality of the material overall as average. It's made of a pleather laced over a hard plastic. The interior is a soft felt and it all looks nice but feels just slightly cheap. I feel mixed about it honestly. At home I like how it looks on my Vita and have even learned to appreciate it as a stand but I wouldn't want to travel with it. I've had to consider a second case and if I had it to do over I'd probably skip this item altogether. That's not to say it's bad just that it's lacking.WHAT I LIKED- Looks really nice- Doubles as a stand- Less cumbersome than the PSP traveler wasWHAT I DISLIKED- Feels somewhat cheap and impractical as a system travel protector- Minimalist design, holds just the Vita and nothing more

dont listen to the negative reviews
this case is perfect for what it is, i wanted something to carry my vita without worrying about scratching the screen and the stand works fine. However if your buying this so you can drop your vita of a skyscraper you will be disappointed.pros1 sturdy and well built2 easy to put on and take off3 protects screen well4 lightweight and compact wont add extra bulk5 stand is easy to usecons1 doesn't protect the sides of vita2 not comfortable to play the vita with the case on (easy to take case off)3 no room for storage4 wont survive a drop from 6 plus ft

A nice case.
You may think that it gets in the way, and i have found that it is indeed so, but not to the point that it is a major nuisance. It hooks to the "rings" in the bottom left and right hand corners of the vita, and has a beam of plastic that conforms to the end of the vita. This "beam" is about one centimeter high. The case itself is attached to this via two (strong) strips of cloth-y material. The case transforms into a case by folding the front of the case towards the back, and then pulling out the velcro-secured panel. This panel is fastened to the case by a ribbon, so that it doesnt turn around the hinge so much that it the case falls over. I haven't been using it as a stand at all, so I cant say if it is a good angle or not. What i have been using that panel for, however, is storing my other gamecard. You could slot the game card in between the vita case and the panel, and then secure the panel with the velcro. It's almost guaranteed it wont fall out, unless you accidentally open it.

Good case for the original PS Vita.
This case replaces the same Sony carrying case that I bought with my original PS Vita when it launched years back. The case is now very inexpensive as demand for it weans. The timing of this purchase coincides with the Remote Play features of the PS4 which I really like. The PS Vita sadly has very games worth playing and as a general device was a disappointment for hPros:-The case provides good general protection though there's risk of it sliding out on a hard drop-The stand is stronger and more durable than it looks.Cons:-The flexible material that holds the two pieces together will wear out and crack over time regardless of the user's care.-The velcro close-flap does add a small amount of unnecessary thickness to the device.-The device slides around a little while using it in the stand-mode. It's best used in your hand and not on a table.

Quality Case
Quality case for a great price. Great feel to the case and all functions well. Covers the Vita for simple protection but in a slimming way. Kick stand props up and works as well.NOTE:This is a simple travel case, just easy protection over the Vita when you throw it in your bag and go. This case is NOT met for heavy duty handling. Get too rough with it or drop it and it's not going to protect the Vita from it.
