I bought this to remove somewhat precise round holes to expose bolt holes in my car's body after I installed sound deadening material. Not really treating it with any serious abuse, but they have experienced some dulling from use - a little more than I expected, but they can be sharpened ok.

These are supposed to cut through vinyl, but when I tried that (with wood backing) the tool would not cut cleanly and the edge of the tool bent. These are very low quality, I do not recommend.

As others have commented, this is a very basic no frills set of punches. Mine were sharp, but I know others have complained that theirs were not. Quality control often seems to be an issue with cheaper tools like this that I see here on Amazon.The tool roll/bag for storage is helpful, but mine was gross - coated in an oily residue that was likely caused by machine oil from the punches getting on it - and had to be cleaned along with the punches. I'll probably make a custom holder for them that will remedy the problem. My primary gripe is that the punches are not stamped or marked to indicate what size they are, which is annoying.Overall, great value for the money if you just occasionally need a basic set of punches or are a beginner leatherworker and don't want to spend hundreds for a really nice set.
