The 101 Coolest Simple Science Experiments: Awesome Things To Do With Your Parents, Babysitters and Other Adults [Homer, Holly, Miller, Rachel, Jamie Harrington] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The 101 Coolest Simple Science Experiments: Awesome Things To Do With Your Parents, Babysitters and Other Adults Review: A great collection of STEM activities for a child (age 8 - 12) or for a parent/teacher to use with younger kids - I really appreciate the consistent format and clarity of activity descriptions – each contains a “mess meter”, level of supervision required, predicted times for prep and experiment, concise and easy-to-follow instructions, description of outcome, and an explanation of the science. The graphic design is appealing. The tone of the book would get adults and kids excited about working on science together. Includes many activities that aren’t standard fare found in all the other books. Most activities have great overview photos, instructional photos detailing the steps of the experiments, and/or helpful diagrams, but some are completely lacking illustration and that can make those experiments harder to figure out. Overall, an excellent resource. Review: Kids LOVE this!!! - This book is awesome! My children are 9 and 11. They are completely plugged-in - having many various electronic devices, games, apps, robotic toys, drones, etc, etc, etc. But this book is their favorite thing to do! It is always on our kitchen table with some sort of baking soda, vinegar mess somewhere nearby. When friends come over - it is this book that comes out to be showed off and played with. As a parent, I'm very impressed with these experiments. Many are simple - yet fascinating to children. Many are messy - so be tolerant. Kids love messy! Buy this!

The absolute best book!
As a teacher and a parent this is an excellent source for kids for science fair or just some summer or free time fun! All experiments are rated for safety as to how much parental guidance is needed. Most supplies are things you already have on hand. i have bought this book several times as a gift!

Very neat book
I bought this book a few months ago, and love the different types of experiments! My daughter is young so we haven’t done very many but have loved what we’ve done. My only complaint is the binding…we’ve only used it a few times and several of the pages are already falling out at the spine. Almost like it wasn’t binded well, if that makes sense. Just curious if that’s happened to anyone else or if I got a defective book? Thanks.

LOVE Science!
I am a homeschooling mom to 3 young children who still need a majority of their math & language arts lesson taught to them individually. This book has easily helped me to introduce a love and facination with science to my children without being overly complicated or too difficult to carry out (a huge plus when working with younger children). Each experiment lists simple to follow intructions, ingredience, tips, estimated time frames, the level of ease and even how messy it is! Plus, the scientific concepts are explained in a very kid honoring way! My children get it! Many items used in the experiments can already be found around the house or picked up from a local dollar store. I would recommend reading through the experiments to familiarize yourself with common ingredients so that you can make sure that you have the staple ingredience and/or household items on hand and then prepare to pick up others as you go, noting which items could be saved and used again for future experiments. My children LOVE doing these experiments and are so excited to tell their friends about them! They want to do them over and over again. Their ages 6, 4 and a 4 month old baby. :-)

Awesome book, my kids 12, 10, 8 are having a blast with it!
First week of summer and my 12 year old has been using this book non stop! I love how it's rated inside whether an adult is needed and there's a mess meter. I've hardly had to help which in my book is great. They've had trial and error and my son has even started a science notebook to track his success and tweaks to the experiments. This book is an absolute blast and I'd recommend to anyone!

We have bought this for my 4 year old daughter and a friend as well. They both love it. The experiments range in skill level from them being able to do it and simple concepts to needing adult assistance and concepts that are above their head. There are fun experiments. It is organized well. The list of supplies is listed and the instructions are easy to follow. The kids gravitate more to the experiments with pictures.

Definitely both kids found it interesting and challenging for the kids (8 to 12). They bring their friends over to do at least four to six experiments a week. They are also find the experiments to easy to challenging!
