Are the handles made of pearl or resin?

I believe Alder knives are resin because they're black and white the black ones in the resident

Is This Dishwasher Safe?

Even though it may be dishwasher safe, you would not want to wash these expensive scissors in the harsch environs of your dishwasher. The harsh soap will dull your blade and shave years off the life of the shears. Take my word on this, spend an extra few seconds and wash these puppies by hand.

Why are they more expensive on amazon then they are direct from Cutco?

CutcoKid sells at the same price - other people jack up the price because some people will pay that. CutcoKid never goes above website retail and it’s all new in package product

Is the blade portion shorter than it used to be? It looks shorter than the pair that are lost.

I don't think so I previously had a white handle scissor and lost them so I acquired this black handled one and it is the same to me.
