My second one just can’t beat the value!!!
This is the second one of these I have bought the first one was about 2 years ago and I mounted it vertically on my dash by my radio and remembered having trouble getting it to stay stuck so I used the little holes to put screws in it to hold and it has been great. When I went to move my x4 to my other truck I was going to move the mount to but I see now that isn’t goin to happen the adhesive has bonded quite well to my dash now. So I bought another and decided to mount it horizontally on the top of my dash and I was planning on having to put screws in it like the other but after cleaning the dash really well with windex and the alcohol pad discovered it stuck very tightly as soon as I stuck it down. I think I will leave it the way it is unless the adhesive gets weak but not thinking it will it’s that tight.

Perfect mounting angles and SOLID construction
I was tired of my SCT X4 bouncing around and vibrating to the point I was having to readjust it every other car ride because of the flimsy ball and socket mounting arm setup the previous owner installed. I went searching and came across this. Strong 3M mounting tape on the base with the option of 4 mounting screw holes for those who don’t mind putting holes into their dash. The tightening knobs are sturdy and the pivoting base is splined for a solid locked in feel. The ball and socket portion tightens up firm enough to hold the SCT in place without it drooping over a short period of time. All the plastic feels quality enough that it’s not going to strip out as soon as you give it that little extra crank. A little bulkier than other mounting options, but it’s perfect for me. Highly recommend!

Works
The glue really sticks to the surface and you can rotate it. The only negative thing is piece that clips from the device to the mount becomes loose after some time and doesn't hold. So now while I'm driving for a long period of time. The device slides right off of the mount and won't lock in no more.
