Very sturdy! Great for anything!
Very heavy and well made. I use it to cover and protect my glass top stove. I also cover my sink area with it. It gives me more counter space. The wood is great! A bit pricey but I got the larger one in order to cover my stove top. It’s also used a cutting board, making bread and to protect surfaces. Very stable!

Started to fray/splinter after only 4x of fruit-cutting use, but nice appearance & XL size

This Stove-top board is great, but Amazon shipping makes you wonder??
PRODUCT REVIEW: - At 20Lbs you need to remember to lift this On and Off instead of sliding it into position, unless you don't care that the side facing down will get marked-up and soiled by your grill. Thankfully I made note of this the first time I removed it from our Gas Stove Top and was able to scrub-off the couple of marks - lesson learned. - The quality is quite good and the 1" laminated bamboo should resist warping - something that a single layer solid board of this size would be challenged to do. - The added 6Sq' of usable "counter-top" space in our kitchen was more welcome than anticipated especially when clear counter top space becomes a premium when we bake scrumptious home-made naturally fermented Sourdough bread. Only regret is not having purchased one sooner. - It perfectly stows up against the end of the Stove's cabinet when use of the Stove Top is needed - just remember: Lift, don't slide. Now, it's time for a Riddle: What's 36" x 24" x 1" and weighs 20Lbs but is shipped in a cardboard box that is 52" x 28 1/2" x 7" with absolutely ZERO packing so that the 20Lb board just slides and bangs around inside during shipping? Answer: THIS product ridiculously "packed" by an unsupervised employee that had not yet been properly trained. Thankfully, only 1 corner was slightly bashed-in likely when the box was moved from horizontal to vertical and set on the ground as the board slid freely inside and smashed into the corner of the box that hit the ground first. I'm not returning it for replacement since I don't expecting that a replacement would arrive in any better shape and don't want to waste extra time - I just rotate that corner to the back when I place the board into service. Like they say "It's not the fall that kills you - it's the sudden stop at the end". Obviously, nobody thought thru how to properly pack this item so that it arrives in NEW condition. I get that it is a busy time of the year but that is why you get paid to do the work correctly instead of thinking you'd do it right for free. A common management mistake is not thinking it thru that to provide consistent quality you need to be scaled-up to deal with peak demands, NOT to just be scaled to meet only average demands and then anything past that is compromised. And NO, I don't believe that correcting the level of service should be a cost passed-on to the consumer - especially not when the CEO is competing for the "Richest man in the world" title. Get there by increased sales because everyone values your service, not by cutting corners that compromise quality. A bit more pride in what you actually deliver would go a long way in correcting this.

I’m going to hazard a guess…
…and say that no one likes splinters in their GI tract. Right? Just me? Okay. Buckle up. So I bought this Rather Large cutting board so I can protect my stovetop (I have no other flat counter space to speak of in my kitchen) whilst I knead bread, use a rolling pin, and do other general baking shenanigans that one should not do atop an oven. When it came out of the box (KEEP THE BOX), it was covered in what appeared to be fine hairs. These were teeny-tiny bits of bamboo. Some attached to the board. Some loose. So it’s dry as a bone. I can relate. No shame. This being my nth rodeo—I’m a bit of a DIY’er—I purchased some food-grade mineral oil to slather her up and make her moist again. We got to know each other for a week, and every night, I basted it lovingly with oil. I got a splinter for my trouble. It may or may not still be lodged in my finger, I can’t tell. But alas, my tender ministrations came to no avail. First use: I just got finished baking my first loaf of vanilla soda bread (chocolate ganache pending), and when I went to clean off the dangly bits of flour and dough, what did I see lurking? More splintered hairs of bamboo. If I find any of those The Hard Way in my tongue, stomach, intestines, or in le bumhole, I will be so mad. I should say, it took a sudsy washcloth, a couple of paper towels, one shop towel, my dish sponge, and a decent amount of ADHD hyper-focus mixed with Virgo irritation and spite to do the job, as it is about twice the size of my sink. The paper towels are perforated with the holes made by the bamboo hairs, the shop towel has seen better days, my dish sponge looks like it had a rough night, and fingers crossed I rinsed all the splinters out of my washcloth. Now. At first, I wanted a return. No problem, said Amazon, just pop it in the box as usual. In a twist of fate, for the first time in my life, I yeeted the box before actually using the item. So that’s my bad. Upon doing some research, if you were to buy a comparable box, it’ll cost you around $83. For the box. To return a $65 item. Amazon seemed to know this already, because they hit me with the, “You know what? You can keep the item, and we’ll refund you $18. Fair?” At first, I was affronted, but seeing my options were nil, I kept the item and took the paltry $18. It’ll do great as an archery or axe throwing target. Maybe. Except I’m worried about blunting the blades.
