I love your fine 100% woven cotton fabric that feels and looks too elegant for mere kitchen use. I love your brilliant colors and beguiling botanical design. The product description uses the adjectives “vibrant” and “dazzling.” Absolutely true. Do I use you in my kitchen? No. I certainly could...but instead I am using you to cover an old side table, a decorative touch that delights the eye. Would I give you as a gift to someone I admire? Yes, yes, yes! MDW designs are unfailingly charming and pleasing, of high quality and durability. How could a lowly kitchen towel merit five stars? Try one of these and see. There are several delightful designs. I’ve ordered the one called “Garden Bunny” for a friend who has pet rabbits, and several other designs to have on hand for hostess or friendship gifts. They are expensive as kitchen towels go, but quite economical for gifts. And you can be pretty sure that the person receiving the towel will not have a half dozen gathering dust in a drawer, unwanted. Their size, design and rich colors are unusual. I was so impressed, I tried other products and am now a big fan. Waiting for their 2016 Engagement Diary...

Michel dish towels are durable & strong. All the graphics on their towels are absolutely beautiful and never fade. I used to purchase these towels from Sur La Table, but since it’s closing, have not been able to find same. That’s why I’m delighted that Amazon is now carrying a small variety of these towels. I hope Amazon continues to add more designs like these to its inventory. Just one thing: Customers need to be patient with regard to letting the towel ‘soften up’. Remember : these are high-quality towels with great graphics. It’s going to take 4-6 washings before the fabric relaxes. So work with it by using & washing it. It’ll come around. Worth the effort for a towel that will last for years and maintain its beautiful motif.

These tea towels are absolutely beautiful, large, vibrant and sturdy. They’re made of thick cotton so are super absorbent. Thankfully they are not terrycloth. I bought 5 of them in 2016 and the colors are still holding up. We use them everyday for drying dishes and they’re also hung up (they have a small ribbon on the back corner to hang them) to dry hands. We machine wash them with bleach and throw them in the dryer on high heat every week for 4 years. I’m here today to buy some more because these have received a lot of abuse over the years and have developed just a bit of wear. These towels aren’t just used a lot but they’re also on display in our open concept kitchen so I want them to look perfect. I highly recommend these and I think they would make a perfect gift.

I bought several of this company's items as Christmas presents and my friend was thrilled--and so was I when I saw the quality and design. I went home and ordered a number of things for myself in several designs, including this peony towel. It really is impossible to overstate the quality and beautiful design of Michel Design Works products. I had never heard of them--was just looking for some last-minute Christmas presents. The towels are oversized--20"x28"-- and, as someone said, almost too beautiful to use. But I do use them and they are perfect--100% cotton and no slithery polyester that doesn't dry anything. The pot-holders are also oversized and can double as trivets if the plate is not too hot. Even the cardboard tags are so pretty that I saved them to use as bookmarks. My Christmas shopping problems are over for this year as this is what my friends will all be getting. These products are winners

Beautiful towels. (I have not washed them, as I used them for decorative purposes rather than dishtowels.)

I bought this as a gift for my sister-in-law, along with the avocado print towel. She really liked both of them, but I was a bit apologetic about the size. I mean, you might be able to cover a small chair with this thing; all that extra fabric could make it more cumbersome than handy. However, it would be good for wrapping warm rolls in a bread basket. Another draw back (on the tuscan print, not the avocado) is the amount of ink used to print the image.. the ink is so thick and heavy on this towel, I would think it's more water-repellent than it is absorbent. This towel rates low on utility, but makes up for it in beauty and quality. You almost want to frame it and hang it-- it is that gorgeous.

This towel is the 2nd one that I bought from Michel Design and is the match to the 'morning blossom' foaming hand soap that I purchased for my kitchen. When the towel was delivered I was surprised to see that the colors were more vivid than the picture shows and as shown on the soap container as well. The size is generous for a kitchen towel and although it's a bit stiff at first I am certain it will get softer after each wash. I used the towel after washing it first and it seemed to be absorbent enough to dry my dishes and glasses. Because this is 100% cotton I thought it would shrink in the wash but it didn't and the colors did not fade either. I washed it in cold water and dried it on low heat until damp, then I let it dry on a clothing rack. I didn't even need to iron it as there were no wrinkles. While reading some other reviews about the Michel Design towels I came across one person who used them as kitchen curtains and a couple of people who used them as 'wall art'. I can also see using them as placemats if someone is good at sewing, which I'm not. The cost of the towel is very reasonable and the quality is good as well - I would definitely recommend this for a bright and cheerful kitchen! Personally I have kitchen chairs that are upholstered in fabric called 'sorbet' with lemon, lime and raspberry colors on a cream background and this is a great match!

I ordered this tea towel from Michel Design works to use to cover a beat up filing cabinet top in a bathroom that I was giving a "mini-makeover." The artwork is exquisite and beautiful, it was quickly whisked out of my bathroom and used for the same sort of function in my living room. I put it on the top of a mini book case, placed an old fashioned lamp and pretty planter (with plant) on top, and it is just lovely. You could frame it and hang it on the wall, it is so pretty. I ended up buying my daughter an apron in the lemon basil pattern, and a few more tea towels to use around the house. I just can't tell you how lovely these are. I am so happy with my purchase. I haven't washed them yet,but the cloth is sturdy and I will just take care to use a cold water wash/low dry to preserve their color.
