What type of wood is it? What do you mean by 'manufactured wood'?

I can’t verify wood but this thing is solid ,heavy and holds up to a heavyweight practitioner who isn’t tip taping strikes or blocks. For the price point you aren’t getting a Mercedes but we’ll worth it in my experience. The spacers are not great as I received one broken in half with initial purchase (I didn’t need all spacers originally so wasn’t an issue) but when I did and I contacted seller they were very responsive and shipped a replacement quickly. Unfortunately that one was cracked in half as well and a completely different color, so that was the only negative I have on this so far and it’s been 6 months of regular use. Hope this helps

No weights are required for the base

Does the leg reach the floor to support weight of dummy?

No it is floating about 6 inches or so above the floor.

If it is not bolted to floor will it tip over?

We've had this since December and used frequently and vigorously. Have never felt there was a possibility that it would tip over and we do not have it bolted to the floor.
