I need a link to a drill that I should use with this set. It does not fit my current drill which is 3/8 inch. What kind of drill holds these brushes?

Drills are adjustable to fit any size. You must not be using an actual drill, probably using an impact driver or something.

Is this safe to use on fiberglass and acrylic showers?

Need to use soft bristle to use on fiberglass materials Otherwise You get a very rough surface

No, will not fit. You need a 1/4 or 3/8 inch variable speed drill motor cost about $30+. Corded or cordless work fine.
