I highly recommend this amazing canister vacu!
Love, love, love a kenmore canister vacuum! Kenmore makes amazing canister vacs. The power head really cleans very well, and the brush fluffs the carpet and I love the lines it leaves. The suction is adjustable and amazing. I like having a bag that I just remove and toss, versus dumping and dealing with dust and dander. I love that the handle adjusts up and down to my height or for properly reaching underneath or up high. This model easily goes from carpet to tile, wood etc. It comes with a tile floor attachment, brush and wand, but the best is the furniture mini vac attachment for furniture, mattress or stairs. You can get under anything with this vac. Light weight, retractable cord and the size is perfect for carrying or even resting on top a ladder. (I use it to clean my return air vents) This is a pet model and trust me, it works well on removing animal fur from everywhere. I even use it to clean my curtains and blinds. This is a great value because it will last you a very, very long time! So many uses. Just purchase it and enjoy the Kenmore quality!

Very impressed with performance.
This vacuum is great! I have used it a handful of times and it does not disappoint. I like that it has HEPA filtration and everything that gets sucked up is contained in a bag. The suction is very strong and it has different modes for carpet types and hard flooring. It is definitely more annoying to use than a cordless vacuum because you have to pull it around but it works way better so to me it is worth it. It’s definitely not a quick spot clean type of thing to use but it gets the job done when you need a good clean. I also like that it has different attachments for different cleaning needs. You can vacuum furniture etc as well. Over all I have been very impressed with this vacuum even though my husband calls it “old school”.

Defective
First let me say I have been a 50 yr supporter of Kennmore products as has been my family. So, when my previous kennmore canister vacuum expired after several years of rugged use (teenagers & dog), it was a no brainer for me to replace with another one of the same type. It arrived swiftly and was gladly received with enthusiasm to get to work. Functioned terrifically....hardwood floors, area carpets, great suction and power for pet hair. Very pleased. But then...after only one months use, the hose detached/seperated from the canister in a way it wasn't designed to. I attempted to reassemble. Plugged it and turned on. Sparks flew like crazy. Scary! Amazon was great about returning it and sending a replacement. Two months later, exact same thing happened to the replacement. My husband attempted to gently reassemble and once again, sparks flew like crazy. Dangerous to say the least!!! Came back to my transaction account on Amazon to see what the next step might be. Apparently Amazon only makes good on one return. After that, I was directed to the manufacturer...Kennmore. At this point, they are not sending a replacement. They are going to send me a new part. However the part is out of stock and on back order. Actually, the part they are sending goes to another model, I was told but it's the same for both models but might be a different color. May be on back order for one month and if not received by then, call them back. In the meantime, my house is full of pet hair from my large Labrador shedding his winter coat. I asked about just having a whole replacement instead but according to what I was told, the whole vacuum is also on back order. I have to wait for the part and if it doesn't come, then they will decide how to handle it next. Really, this is a huge issue for me. I can't give the vacuum itself a good review since both of them broke in the same way. There must be a weakness or defect in the product. I also can't say Kennmore has been good to work with either. 4/28/24 I just came back on here to check if there were any follow-up comments by either Amazon or Kenmore as I sometimes see when I read a review that gives a low rating. No comments, but I decided to read some of the other poor reviews while I was on the site. I wish I would have read them first!! I am having the exact same problems....the hose connection, the burning and sparks. I never read the reviews, because as I initally wrote, I have been a Kenmore product user for at least 50 yrs and my family before that even....( washers, dryers, stoves, refrig, freezer - actually have a 43 yr old Kenmore chest freezer in my basement working beautifully, vacuums and probably other things too). So, I figured it was a no brainer, no need to read the reviews. What a mistake. 5/30/24 So the new hose/part arrived about a week ago, maybe a week and a half. Due to illness I didn't get to try it out right away. Able to get to business today. Surprise, surprise....the new part does NOT work. Looks just like the part that failed. Although the representative did tell me the replacement would not be the one that went to the model I purchased, but one that went to a similar model that used the same hose. Well....apparently not!! At this point, I do not know who to contact anymore. I am now at 6 mos past origional purchase. When/if I finally get through to customer service today, will they say time has expired and I am past warranty date?? So, $348.15 down the drain!?? I will repost an update after today with the results. By now, I should be sent a refund, obviously another new machine will not solve the problem since it seems this model is defective.

Works great, but a pain to haul around.
I switched from using a cordless, rechargeable Dyson to this. There are many things I like better: works better, caniste/bag/filter keeps things tidy when emptying, doesn’t die as it’s corded, and it clearly has much more power. The tools that come with the vacuum are great, I especially like the attachment for spot cleaning furniture and carpet - it does a great job of removing pet hair. Versatile settings for both carpet and hardwood/tile was a must for me, and this vacuum truly delivers on that and your ability to control settings of suction and closeness of roll to the floor. I do find myself getting annoyed with having to carry around a canister in addition to the vacuum. It is kind of weighty and the wheels aren’t exactly designed for efficiency. Overall, I am happy with this vacuum, I just wish there was a smaller/lighter model that still had the same power and worked as well! I feel like the value of this vacuum is on par with others on the market, and I think this one is going to last for years to come.

Love it, would buy again
I love this vacuum cleaner. I grew up with my mom and grandma using Electrolux canister vacuums, and they were able to keep their carpet in mint condition for decades. When we got new carpet in our house, I did my homework and decided to give this vacuum a chance. PROS: I love that I can easily move between carpets and hardwood using only the controls in the handle. I fear I have now become dependent on this feature! I have vacuumed our fairly large house very regularly for the past year and I somehow haven't had to change the bag (so I have never actually seen the bag light come on, though I have checked the bag many times). I have kids, and the pet attachment works really well for cleaning under the couch cushions, in the car, etc. I also like how far the arm extends - good for cleaning cobwebs off my ceilings, and I even used it to retrieve a lost ball over the fence! The suction is also great (so great that the brush roller did completely suck out the fibers on one of my mattresses... oops). There is an auto stop safety feature that has saved me a few times - but it did confuse me the first time it happened because I thought the vacuum had died. CONS: Whoever designed the wheels for this vacuum had never vacuumed before. They are very large and only move in one direction, making the vacuum harder to maneuver than it needs to be. Swivel wheels would be much better. I love the light on the front of the vacuum head, but it only comes on when I am in carpet mode. I would like for it to come on when I am doing hard surfaces too. I also wish there was a light on the handle for when I am cleaning out my car using one of the smaller attachments. I don't love a few of the attachments, though I do like how they are all stored within the vacuum. It's neat that the crevice tool is stored for convenience on the vacuum handle but, BUT I don't understand why the tool has holes in the sides, as it loses suction. All said, I do not regret buying this vacuum. It is actually a delight to clean my house with it. And it is still going strong after 1 year of frequent use.

Vacuum with versatility and vroom vroom
Great little vacuum! I read various reviews at all price points before finally making a purchase. Years ago, I had an Electrolux that I loved but could no longer get parts for it. I have gone through several uprights since then, mostly bag-less. I was never satisfied with the suction, durability, or attachments. I also didn’t really want to invest quite as much as my original Electrolux as nothing seems to last as long as it used to. This little vacuum is not as heavy in comparison, but that’s not a bad thing! It’s easy to maneuver and light to carry. The suction may not be quite a strong, however, it picked up a large amount of dust/debris from my carpet immediately after using my upright first. The bag is large enough to not need frequent changing, which is saying a lot for my family of 5 and a husband that works outside. I purchased it in May, vacuum twice a week, and have changed the bag only once so far. We have 50/50 hard floor vs carpet in our home. I absolutely love the hard floor attachment and pet fur attachment, which I use on my couch and chairs once a week. The longer cord length means I only unplug once for my home (~1800 sq ft). The height of the vacuum is easily adjustable, which is great since I’m on the short side while my kids are tall. The filter is easily removable for fast cleaning, too. The carpet attachment does sometimes rotate when I don’t really want to it to, but it’s also very easy to maneuver and fits all the way under my couches. I am very satisfied with this purchase so far and highly recommend it if you’ve been searching for a more versatile vacuum with the perks of improved suction over an upright. Performance is as close to the Electrolux that I have found so far, and at a fraction of the price.

Good vacuum but bad customer service
Completely stopped working after 3 months. Return window closes after 30 days. Called Kenmore support. The guy made me make a video of me showing the vacuum plugged in but when I press the power button, nothing happens. He also wanted a copy of my invoice. Sent him what he asked for. He asked me to resend the invoice the next day which I did. I never heard from him again. It’s been over a month. He had said he would evaluate the case and get back to me with a solution. He has not responded to several emails I sent just asking for info where things stand. I asked him to confirm receipt of the second invoice, nothing. Someone we know who fixes appliances said it was the power switch that gave out so we would need a new hose. Hose is backed ordered on the kenmore site. Waste of money. I do not recommend. Update: About a month or so after writing this a new vacuum hose arrived. When I plugged it in, nothing happened. So we had initially thought a new hose would solve our problem but it didn’t. A family member who is very good mechanically took the vacuum apart and found one of the wires inside had come loose. Once he plugged it back in, viola! Power. I actually really love this vacuum but if it breaks I would say just pay for it to be fixed and don’t rely on Kenmore to help.

Very pleased with this Kenmore BC3005
2-Month Use Review May 2026 After using this Kenmore for 2 months, I still stand by everything I stated during my first use in March. So far the only dislike I have found is the two large rear wheels. It makes it extremely hard to pull the vacuum from room to room or around furniture because the wheels only go one way. There is a third wheel that is near the front of the vacuum and recessed underneath. That one is a caster style wheel. I believe if the two large rear wheels were replaced with similar caster style wheels that the vacuum would be much less cumbersome to use. Still a good vacuum and still happy with my purchase, sans the rear wheels. March 2026 - This is a first-use review of the Kenmore BC3005 Blue Pet Friendly Canister Vac. Purchased March 6 2026. I consider myself a pretty tidy housekeeper and people often mention my house looks nice, but this vacuum has proved them wrong. I had vacuumed 3 days prior to the first use of this Kenmore using *oover upright that is about 10 years old. Except for my kitchen and dining, my house is wall to wall carpet. Assembly - Fairly straightforward. No issues. Manual is easy to understand. Canister - Seems sturdy. A little awkward to pull along unless you're in a wide open area, but this may just be me getting used to a canister vs always having an upright vac Hose - very flexible and easy to work with. Switch out of cleaning heads is easy with a press of your foot. The telescope feature is nice for reaching curtains and under beds. Cleaning heads - all are very useful. I do not have hardwood but found the hard floor attachment nice to gently go over curtains without having to remove them. I did use it to vacuum under a low clearance dresser (3") and it allowed me to clean completely underneath - something my upright was impossible to do. The brush attachment made easy work with cleaning my honeycomb blinds without damaging the fragile fabric. The crevice tool was nice for getting the dust from the carpet along the baseboards. The carpet head has easy foot-tap height change. It did a fantastic job on lifting the pile of my older carpet. Before opening the dust bag I was pretty pleased with how my carpet looked. After opening the dust bag (which I did because I accidentally vacuumed a button), the amount of dust and who knows what else was absolutely disgusting! I had no idea my upright was missing so much. The vacuum bags are great as far as trapping dust and allergens. One of the pics I took after cutting the bag open shows the multi layer assembly. Three layers of fabric tissue and an outer layer of tight bond fabric on the exterior. Nothing escaping this bag! The bag does seem to be too long for the compartment, but I just folded it up toward the opening. So far I am completely satisfied with this Kenmore and would recommend it. I will update this review if I encounter any issues in the future My photos show the layers of the bag and how much debris it pulled in (yea, it's nasty). Video showing using the vac in low clearance areas.

Love This Vacuum
I purchased this Kenmore 600 Series Canister Vacuum Cleaner back in July. I generally like to use an item that is a little more on the high end (pricewise) for a little while before I do a review. My reasoning is that I want to make sure it works and doesn't disappoint me a few weeks or even a month after I buy it. I absolutely love it! I've always liked using a canister vacuum as I prefer that style over an upright one and I like the Kenmore name and I have been happy with the brand. The suction is incredible. I love that it has a feature where you can increase or decrease the suction with a slider so if you are about to suck something up into the hose, you just move the slider to the least amount of suction and it will let go. LOL! This feature is nice for smaller area types of rugs so you can decrease the suction as the beater bar comes near to the edge of the loose rug which would prevent it from getting sucked up. I did mention that there IS a lot of suction. It has onboard attachments and the little door pops open by the touch of your foot when you want to swap them out and it has a tiny light that comes on. It comes with a nice size beater bar for doing your carpeting and you can exchange it for a floor attachment if you wish. It also has an extended wand feature which helps to reach higher places when needed. I also have to comment on the purple colour. It's absolutely beautiful. I'm quite happy. I try to take extra care of it because it's so lovely to look at! There is a HEPA filter etc... By the way, with regards to my previous Kenmore vacuum (it was an Elegance in Spring Green) I am able to use those bags in this vacuum. I'm probably leaving something out but off the top of my head that's what I wanted to convey. I would recommend this vacuum.

Great Vacuum
This is my 2nd Kenmore 600 Series vacuum after carelessly dropping my 18 year old one and breaking the housing. The design upgrades exceeded any expectations I had purchasing this one. This model is more user friendly than my old one. The suction is incredible.

Please don’t waste your money
I have had this vacuum for over a year. Prior to buying, I read a mass amount of reviews on different vacuums as well as watching videos on the best possible vacuum to get for the money. This vacuum continuously came up and after owning it, I’m not really sure why. This is hands-down, the worst vacuum I have ever purchased and I regret it deeply. The vacuum suction is horrific and never seems to get all the debris that gets tracked in through the house. It does not come anywhere close to my shark lift away.(which I was replacing when it broke after 20 years). This vacuum is not only heavy, but cumbersome. I originally chose this vacuum because I have multiple style of floors and wanted attachments within hands reach. The hardwood floor attachment container, continuously pops open when walking up the stairs as the clasp is not sturdy and a slight bump will release the clip. Getting hair out of the power bar is extremely difficult. I would like to come up with a pro, but that is an impossibility. I would advise looking into a different vacuum if you are ready to make a new purchase. This vacuum is not worth the cost by no stretch of the imagination. Currently it sits in my basement collecting dust because it’s not even worth giving away.

Great suction and dependable
I bought this last year during Prime Days; I wanted to wait for close to a year to see how dependable and functional this canister vacuum is. This is my 3rd Kenmore and I have been VERY happy with the brand, and the way it has performed. Over the years, I can see that there have been slight re designs of some of the vacuum components, and noticed that upon reading the owner's manual, that there are some new recommendations for storing this vacuum. Notably, they want you to disconnect the vacuum hose both from the canister itself and from the wand. That way, there is no stress on the hose joints (which has been a problem in older models). As far as suction goes, this vacuum is terriffic. I have been using the HEPA bags, which help to cut down on allergens, and so far, 1 year in, everything is great. From my end, I would highly recommend.
