As always Scott did not disappoint with his writing style. Simple words and conversational. It covered most topics from recommended lenses, lightening, posing to post processing. The title of the books is "The Natural Light Portrait book" so if you are interested in using flash for portraits photography, you will have to check his other book "The flash book. Natural Light Portrait Book, is a book I recommend if you want to get into portrait photography as quickly as you want. It simplifies technical terms such as the Rembrandt technique with description such as inverted triangle so you grasp the concept easily. There are useful practical tips on how to make a round face look thinner and longer and vice versa, how to narrow a broad nose, how to avoid making the waistline appear wider etc. It is a book you can read in less than a day with time to spare. Highly recommended for beginners and enthusiasts.

It is good for absolute beginners. Unfortunately not for me. Idk what did I expected but it si basic. Which is perfectly fine. Just had to oreder it several years ago. So if you are at early stages of your photography jorney, buy the book. It can save you years. Advanced...This book is not for you. I will buy more books by Scot Kelby. He is great educator. I am sure I will benefit from other books written by him and support his work.

I am a huge fan of the format Scott Kelby uses in his books - it’s literally like chatting with a mentor while out on a shoot with him . And what makes this book more fun is the funny parts - the continuous thread of little jokes in every section . Thank you for making technical stuff easy and fun :)
