8 year Update (summer of 2022). Still 5 stars and still recommend this product after owning this for 8 years. We finally replaced this wooden flag pole after 8 years of being outside. It was showing it age (cracks, fade, and mold). Not bad for an item that is outdoor 24/7. I am sure this will last longer if you stained or sealed it every year. We didn't. BLUF: 1) See pictures. Click "View All" to see the pictures. 2) High Quality. 3) Last over 2yrs in the outdoor during wind, rain, snow, heat, etc. 4) If you are looking for an outdoor adjustable flag holder/mounting bracket then I recommend the HWWHITEADJ . Amazon has it for under $20. It is a little expensive but definitely worth it because the holder is heavy duty/high quality. I am an OEF and OIF veteran but never flew the American flag unless it was during 4th of July. The main reason is because we live in a very windy part of Oklahoma. It is so windy that the local power company installed windmills on all the hills near our development. So with that my biggest concern was finding the right flag pole that will survive in our "harsh" conditions. One day my wife bought me this flag pole and told me that she think it is a good idea if we fly our American flag 24/7 to display our pride and patriotism (we are both naturalized citizens). I mounted the flag pole into our metal pole bracket and didn't think it would last because of the windy condition here. Surprisingly, after 2yrs of 24hrs/7days a week usage the flag pole have held up very well. The pole is not warp or show any cracks. In summary, if you want a high quality product that will last in the outdoors and under harsh weather conditions (heat, wind, etc) then look no further. You need to buy this product. The features I like about this product: 1) Real Wood 2) Looks pretty especially with the cap Some Application Tips: 1) The wood pole might be a little smaller (in diameter) when fitting into your bracket. If this is the case then just wrapped the pole in a few layers of tape (masking, duct, electrical, etc) and this will give you enough tension to snuggly fit the pole inside any bracket. Love it. Seems pretty sturdy. Looks nice

Very easy to change out the seasonal and holiday flags I like to display. I have two and the flags are of great quality. Stands up to all weather types.

First the pros: This flag pole is a much better crafted flag pole than the one I've replaced. That one I picked up at a local retailer and it began to bow in the middle due to the cheapness of the wood and weight of the flag. The rain we've had recently created extra weight on the flag and the wood began to bend. It also was constantly tangling after inclement weather due to the inability to move freely around the pole. This new one has alleviated that problem due to the tube the flag sits on. Haven't noticed any problems over the past several days. It has not tangled once. Second the cons: Now having said there have been no problems with my flag tangling is because I had to lower the retaining ring about an 1/8 of an inch in order that the tube would freely move around the pole. It was much too tight for the tube to move. I just unscrewed the ring, drilled another hole 1/8" and screwed the retaining ring back to the pole. The retaining ring is made of plastic so I took precaution not to tighten down too much. This was the only problem I had. The folks in quality control might want to look into this issue in the future. Overall I'm pleased with the product!

A good product for our porch flag holder and flags. We just needed a new pole and I’m happy to have found this one. It has the flow freely feature so my decorative flags don’t twist up. It arrived on time and in a giant flat box for the pole length. 5 stars!

Looks good and works good

Does not feel like solid wood. It's very lightweight, much lighter than the wood pole we had previoulsy for over 30 years. Additionally it was damaged in shipping. It was shipped in lightweight clear plastuc and the pole was dented in one place, and extremely dirty in others where the plastic ripped at the top. Dirty is mild term. Its black and did not come off with paper towel or with paper towel and water. Again inadequately shipped with inadequate shipping material.

Works perfect with the bracket I bought.

Diese Fahnenstange sieht einfach nur genial aus, der geringe Preis macht sich nicht in der Qualität bemerkbar. Auch bei schlechtem Wetter kein Problem

Solide Fahnenstange, wie auf dem Bild beschrieben. Leider sind oben unter dem Knauf komische kleine Löcher. Da meine Zeitplanung keinen Rückversand zuließ, habe ich das in Kauf genommen.

Stabile Fahnenstange, leider im Umfang doch sehr groß, so dass man die üblichen Löcher an den Fahnen nicht nutzen kann. Hab die Fahnen kurzerhand umgenäht, damit geht's.
