i think it was worth it for this little tool just for the peace of mind knowing i installed my new cartridge correctly. nicer cartridges can get pretty expensive so definitely worth it imo to get it installed right and maximize their lifespan. on my SL-D3 it fit and aligned perfectly over the turn table with my stylus and i trust it more than just a piece of paper with printed lines that isnt ridged or the scale may be off.
