Not a skier or a trekker but I have hopes that these will help me regain my ability to walk upright
I saw an ad for these and a light bulb went off.Due to a fall at a work site thirty years ago from a ladder that was not attached to the floor deck, as it should have been, I sustained injuries that resulted in multiple fractures to my right foot. It was put back together with nine pins and a titanium plate. Since then I have had several surgeries including a subtalar fusion.Over the past decade I lost the ability to walk independently and upright. I have had all kinds of physical therapy. Most through my insurance that only allows for x number of weeks for only one body part at a time. The health insurance company does not seem to grasp that the body is a complicated mechanism in which the “parts” do not operate alone. Therefore, I have not been able to find therapy that concentrates on how each part affects and works in tandem with the others. While I can walk without a rollator, I can only do so bent over at the waist and only for very limited distances.I have had these trekking/skiing poles for only a few days now and already find that they are very helpful in my being able to walk upright in my house while swinging my arms; very similar to a natural walking gait. Something my rollators do not allow. With help through these poles I hope to one day be able to once again walk upright on my own. So several times a day now I walk with the assistance of these poles from one end of my ranch house to the other and back again. In the process I can feel muscles being used that have long been dormant. It is thrilling. If you have not experienced the loss of the ability to walk upright independently, you have no idea how incredible it is to stand up straight and look at the world around you while you walk instead of at the ground. These poles have given me hope. Even now, just being able to stand upright while I use these to walk, gives me great joy. Many thanks to “TheFitLife”.

Perfect for mountain backpacking.
When I order these I expected them to have the flip locks, be ok, and only last 3-4 trips. Instead these are one of the best finds I have come across yet. Not only are they cheap, high quality, and comfortable, they have the twist locks which are 10x better. They come with so many accessory’s and can be very short or very long. They might not be as durable as some that are 50-75$ A PIECE. But these are awesome.

Solid purchase
Solid purchase lockabilty design could be a bit better like arrows that match been fooled a couple times as the poles collapsed when I went to use them otherwise the design is very good

Love it!
Love it. So easy to use and love the different feet to change to! Great value for the money. It is slightly heavier than the more expensive sticks, but not too noticeable and still fairly light.

Heading in the Right Direction
So far, (2 days) I've been able to walk about 2k feet with just a little pain on ankle that was injured 46 years ago andrecently started to hurt. For 9 months I limped badly, but kept trying to walk more naturally. At 86, I had balanceproblems, too. These hiking poles enable me to feel more secure and walk better - this is my opinion. I plan to keepdoing this walking and check back with physical therapy coach and the MD. I don't want to over reach my ability.I want to keep as much mobility as possible. These poles are a good start.

Wonderful for getting the exercise you need if you need support for your spine.
I am 66. I have a very bad back and scoliosis and have not been able to walk for any considerable distance (even shopping) for a long time. I simply fold up in pain. A FB friend from Norway told me about Nordic Walking Sticks. I ordered them immediately. After watching several YouTube videos and practicing a bit, I got the hang of it, and after a few weeks I am able to walk a mile and back. These sticks are adjustable and sturdy. I would rather have the glove type wrist straps, but these will do until I change them out. If you aren't ready for a walker, but need support for your spine to get the exercise you need to stay healthy, I highly recommend you try these. You won't regret it.

Walking made easy
I have rather hilly terrain when out walking, but the walking sticks are helpful while ascending and descending, allowing my arms to help propel me up the hills, and the walking sticks to regulate less impact on my knees and feet while descending. They also help with balance while taking uncertain steps. They are lightweight and easy to carry. My hands grip the handles easily. They collapse easily if needed for storage or travel. There are extra rubber tips for different terrain and seasons. I would recommend this brand.

Got me up Pike's Peak
Used these to summit Pike's Peak yesterday and they worked really well! The snow attachments broke on both of them but that is to be expected since they are plastic and I was using them pretty hard so overall for the price I was very happy.
