Does these lights have any flood effect or are they just spot

From my experience on my Triumph, they are more towards a flood than a real narrow spot. Having said that, I mostly run them for daytime "Be Seen" safety use and for that use, I am very pleased.

What tool is used to remove the retaining ring on the front side? I want to apply a tint film to the glass.

I used a mountain bike tool I had on hand: Park SPA-2. The metal is almost perfectly spaced to line prongs with the retaining ring groves and you can carefully break loose ring without scratching anodized surfaces.

What size fuse is recommended for these light?

I use a PDM60.... no fuse required, although a 2 Amp should be sufficient
