My laptop has dimensions of 15" x 10" x 1" with a diagonal of 18". Will this fit in the laptop sleeve? (I don't understand how the sizing works)

The student who uses it can fit a Chromebook. If one were much bigger than that, then I don’t think it would.

Could this be used as a basketball backpack? Could I fit both shoes and a basketball in it?

It depends on how big the shoes are! You can fit a basketball in it but if the shoes are big, they might not be able to fit with the basketball.

I think it’s fairly light weight and streamlined. It’s not like my LL Bean ones as far as the density of the material.
