MindWare Dig It Up! Dinosaur eggs excavation kit

My son is obsessed with dinosaur and I ordered him the whole box. It was fun to crack them and had a little dinosaurs inside. Very cool dinosaur kit exactly how shown on the picture. 10/10

My 3 year old absolutely loves these. She uses a rubber mallet to smash them opened and has a blast seeing little dinosaurs inside.

Our daughter picked this out for a birthday gift and she loves it! The excitement for her is amazing as she tries to dig out the dinosaurs.

Bought for my ASD son. He enjoys it! If you don't let it soak the entire 5 minutes, they can chisel it out longer, if you soak it the whole time it's quick and easy to get to the dino. Each egg comes with a new chisel, handy, as it's a mess! This is like clay, we put down a piece of cardboard and throw it away each time, much easier to clean! Fun little activity!

These Dino eggs were absolutely perfect for my child’s birthday party favors! I created little “paleontologist starter kits,” and they were the perfect centerpiece. The final product was adorable, high quality, and a huge hit with the kids. They looked even better in person and tied the whole theme together beautifully. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!

I bought this for my 6 year old who loves dinosaurs and we had a blast chiseling the eggs and finding our dinosaurs! The kit comes with 12 hard clay eggs that you have to soak for about 5 minutes in a cup of water to soften the clay. Each egg is individually wrapped and comes with it's own directions and chisel, so if you are using this for a class or birthday party, everyone has their own materials to use. I also love that each egg has a different dinosaur in it so there are no duplicates within the kit and the element of surprise is so much fun! Once you have soaked the egg, use the chisel to chip apart and scoop the clay. After a few minutes, you get a small dinosaur about an inch or two tall. She likes to play with hers in the tub. These are kind of expensive, but they are a lot of fun and educational because the kit comes with a pamphlet that tells facts about each dinosaur and you can also practice classifying them by plant or meat eater, two legged or four legged, etc. There is so much to do with these! There are other kits as well such as sea life and wild animals that I plan to purchase.

Love the idea of this! But there's no way it's suitable for a 3 year old. I had to help and was literally working up a sweat hammering away at these eggs. Activity level: Well you're sitting... Fun for kids: Yes, with help for younger kids Messiness: Yes, dust. Everywhere. Gift Value: 100%

The price seems kinda steep. Then we received these and gave them to our son for his birthday as he was obsessed with watching these be dug up on his favorite web show. One of the best purchases I have made. Product is exactally as described. We had tons of fun digging the dinosaurs out. Bonus is the book that names and describes each dinosaur we dig up! Definately worth every penny. I am tempted to buy another box as we have made it threw ours.
