Logitech Harmony 650 Universal Remote Control

Was easy to set up and can do alot of thing you can customise to your hearts desire.

Great Product from logitech. Not sure why support was stopped in India. had to procure from the US. Paid extra. If you have lot of gadgets with RF remote's this is the universal remote you need. Easy to Setup and understand. Go for it.

This can be a litttle complicate to use, multiple button presses, but it works very well. It gets used most often when we can't find a remote or for the one remote that sometimes won't work. Doesn't setup easily with some Japanese devices, you have to setup each function for uncommon devices, but mainstream devices set up super easy.

Tuve un modelo 300 como 10 años hasta que el botón de encendido ya no servia, son de buena calidad y este se ve de la misma calidad. Este te permite generar secuencias de comandos entre muchos dispositivos y poner pausas por lo que pude configurar secuencias para prender TV con amplificador con Apple TV e iniciar netflix. Se configura esto en un software en la computadora. TIP, algunos comandos por alguna razón no te deja agregarlos a secuencias de comandos pero ahí lo qué haces es que tomas el control remoto original del dispositivo y lo apuntas al Harmony para que aprenda el comando y los comandos que aprende el Harmony si te deja meterlos en secuencias entonces si no te aparece la opción que quieres al armar una secuencia pues grabas el comando. No es el software más amigable del mundo para configurar pero pues ya que te queda funcionando ya no lo necesitas. Contento con la compra.

For those who have not used Harmony, it is a god sent for a house which has more than 1 device connected to TV. Even for the basic configuration of TV + Set top box + Home theatre, it is a pain to juggle multiple remotes. That is where Harmony harmonizes all control in one remote. It has all common devices pre-progammed. All you need to do is setup activity like watch TV with what devices to switch on. And you then select Watch TV and all the required devices come to life. I already owned Harmony one and it did not work after few years. Now, when decided to choose new one, even though 650 is a lower model compared to Harmony one, I found from reviews that it is more versatile model. It requires AA batteries and not rechargable type which though looked like additional hassle, in fact makes it less reliable on a proprietary battery. So far in my one month usage, the remote is solid and even works smoothly with Apple TV. I recommend this product very highly.

長年使用してきたマランツの学習リモコンRC1400の調子が悪くなってきました。RC1400のように画面が付いていると便利だと分っていたのですが、画面のついている機種は大抵極端に高額で、手ごろな機種を探しているなか、発見したのがこの機種でした。買ってみると日本語の情報が少なく困惑したので、少々ここに書いておこうと思います。 ・自力で学習できない パソコンに専用ソフトをインストールし、USBでつなげないとリモコン情報を学習できないようです。その際メールアドレスでアカウントを作る必要があるようです。 ・メジャーなメーカーの情報は登録無用 DELLのディスプレイやヤマハのアンプはリモコン情報が既に存在していて、機種名を入れて同期するるだけで操作可能になりました。ただ、DELLのディスプレイは実際のリモコンには無いボタンが大量に登録されていて邪魔でしたが。 ・学習修正の操作が良く分からない アイ・オー・データのディスプレイのリモコン情報は無かったので、手動で学習させる必要がありました。パソコンから指示されるがままに操作をすればいいのですが、学習するボタンを間違えた場合に、その場で訂正する方法が分からず、最初からやり直しました。それとDirection Upの意味が分からず、とっさに学習をスキップしてしまい、方向キー上の事だと気付くも、スキップを取り消す方法が分からず、また最初からやり直しました。英語が分かれば、恐らく何も問題は無い筈なのですが。 ・画面が貧弱すぎる この機種は画面に4つ分のボタン操作しか割り当てられず、5つ割り当てられるRC1400に比べると貧弱です。RC1400と違いカラー画面になってはいますが、そんな事はリモコンにはどうでも良い事です。 ・機器切り替えが貧弱 RC1400はディスプレイやアンプ等の機器の切り替えには専用ボタンがありました。この機種は切り替えも画面ボタンなので、一旦機器切り替え画面に戻る必要があり、操作ステップ数がRC1400に比べると増えてしまいます。 リモコンとしての完成度はRC1400の方が上でした。この機種が勝っているのは、海外でメジャーな機種の場合は学習操作が無用なこと程度です。まぁ、画面付きの学習リモコンが1万円未満なのはとても珍しいので、贅沢は言っていられませんが。
