Grandpas Pine Tar Soap 4.25 Ounce Bar

I like this pine tar soap. It’s moisturizing, has a squeaky clean effect and has been giving a healthy glow to the skin. It seems to have healed the dry skin on my heels.One peeve is it shouldn’t have had palm oil.The smell is that of a smoky campfire in an forest and it dissipates into a mild woodsy sillage. I don’t mind the scent - I’ve kind of gotten used to it and find it pleasant. So glad it doesn’t have artificial scent!

Love this stuff but I’d forgotten how strong the smells is. Bathroom smells of pine tar. Great for cleaning you face, which is what I bought it for. Good in the shower and you can wash your hair with it but I’m using a sandalwood in the shower these days.

My husband has sensitive skin that breaks out easily. I saw this soap and thought it might help his skin. I put it in the bathroom next to our bedroom the day it arrived. Tonight in the adjacent bedroom my eyes started getting very irritated. I had to remove it from the house, so I put it in the garage.It doesn't smell like pine, it' smells like a forest fire. And it rritated my eyes like one. Right now I've got the fan running and a window open in the bathroom where it was. Truthfully I'd be afraid the shower with something so obnoxious. I should have read all of the reviews, but since there are always nit picky people complaining all the time, I just read the ones who like it. I cannot imagine why anyone would like it.

I have used this product I was a little Gil. This soap has multiple uses, face, body, and hair. You can also use it for washing delicates. Both m grandmother's never used anything but Black tar soap for everything, people should not worry about the smell it doesn't stay. It looks rinses all the product that you have put in your hair which regular shampoo does not. So I suggest that people give it a try.

My daughter could not handle the smell, that’s the only reason I gave it 4 stars. The size and lather was good.

Smells great

Wasn't really a fan. Smells far more like smoke than pine tar. The scent permeates your clothes and you constantly smell like you've been sitting by a campfire. Some people may enjoy this, but it's not a scent I'd like to smell like 24/7

I was a bit worried to try pine tar soap after seeing that many other reviewers did not like the scent, or thought it was too strong. Man, I'm glad I checked it out because this stuff smells AWESOME! Truly smells like a piney camp fire, and I love it. Not only that, it suds up very well, so a little goes a long way. Great soap, the only thing I could knock it for is that it stings the eyes if you get a bit in there. Will continue to buy.
