Why is this $11.49 when a box at the store costs ~$3.99?

Plus they bring it back to their nests. For roaches, since they cannot burp, their stomachs literally explode. Boric acid works too, but differently. It gets better their bodies and shells and itches then to death.

Can this be used in high efficiency washing machines?

It comes in a powder, so if you have one of those washers where you can only put liquid detergent in it, to be funneled in via a tube to be squirted into your wash, you would not put it in there, as it could clump and clog the line. I just lightly sprinkle it on the clothes, themselves, directly, so I'd imagine you could do the same kind of thing in any washer.

Very effective with ant infestation

I mix one part borax to three parts sugar, and add enough water to make it into a thick syrup that can pour. Then I simply find the ant holes in the bricks, cement etc and pour a little in each hole. Within 24 hours I see zero activity from the ant nests. I did this in a previous house and kept ants to almost zero.
