A littlenlate review but must review. I bought thisnon 2022. And now sometimes whenni turn it onnit gives red light andbi have to thennrestart it. Another issue that i was ignoring was the hair gets stuck innthe plates. Lots of my hair got broken whenever I used it. But since i had bought andnused it and couldn't return, i had to compromise but I will not recommend this model, solely due to hair getting stuck

Sold by uae Amazon delivered to saudi. Both use Uk plugs; however this item arrived with the us plug. When a straightener is used with an adapter it loses power and is not as effective. This is such a huge disappointment

Having bought these to replace my Scarlet edition GHDs that are nearly 10 years old and, understandably, starting to get a bit worn, I am over the moon! I really didn't expect there to be much difference but these are so worth the price, the plates are slippery smooth and heat up quicker than it takes me to run a brush through my medium length hair. My hair is very thick and naturally wavy/curly - and not very obedient, but I had it looking and feeling like a sheet of silk in about 3 minutes. I bought these because since my first set of GHDs around 20 years ago nothing comes close in quality, but I was quite sceptical of the promised 20% more shine. However, I can't argue with the results. My hair (washed after swimming, a steam room and sauna session then hastily blow dried after using just a shampoo bar, no conditioner!) looked like something out of an advert, I was swinging my hair in front of my mirror so surprised by the shine on it! If you're hesitating about paying the extra for the platinum version I highly recommend you do it, especially if you're considering sacrificing the higher spec model for one of the colour editions (they do look pretty, but I'd rather spend my money on the results rather than an on trend colour version of a tool that's kept in my bedroom drawers) If the previous GHDs I've owned are to judge by it's an investment for at least a decades worth of unbeatable sleekly styled hair. I have also kept the box it comes in - I actually still have the large wooden padded red satin box that came with my Scarlet edition years ago, but this one is still quite sturdy and large enough to store sectioning clips, heat pad etc. Now that I've given myself a YouTube crash course on how to create salon worthy curls and waves I'm very excited to see the results I can accomplish with this!

I’m one of those people that doesn’t normally leave reviews but when something is that good you feel you need to share it! I bought these straighteners as an upgrade to my GHD V Gold straighteners & wow what an upgrade. The significant difference for me can be broken down into 2 very simple main features - the new hot plates which frankly cause the straighteners to just glide through your hair - no pulling & certainly no catching hair in the unit itself of which I’d seen reviews saying this had happened. Secondly the body of the straighteners stays cool, which is a great feature. I will point out my Gold straighteners were max (wide plates) and the platinum+ are the standard slimmer plates. I instantly felt more control & could get closer to the roots this avoiding the ‘ridge’ at the top & back of my hair. I have long thick naturally curly hair & 30 mins of straightening, which is around the same length of time I would straighten my hair, and my hair was straight, glossy & felt amazing. No frizz & my hair stayed straight all day, in fact the straightest I’ve ever known it, in fact I didn’t even use any product on my hair. For *coughs loudly* years I’ve struggled with thick frizzy hair and this I can honestly say is a game changer!! I was reluctant to spend more money when I had a perfectly good set of straighteners but I am so glad I have! I also took the Prime deal to pay over 5 months - it’s a no brainer!

Iv always wanted a GHD straighter, but I couldn’t afford it. Now that I’m in a great job with a steady income I decided to treat myself to a good high quality straightener for my frizzy Asian hair. It arrived promptly, well packaged and in great condition. I only managed to open it today and use it and i instantly fell in love. I have thick frizzy/ stubborn hair. It’s medium length. Iv been using TRESemmé keratin smooth 230 for 7 years now and it takes me over 1 hour to straighten my hair after a shower. This is to get it fully straight without any bumps. This GHD Platinum + did the job well under 20 mins. I got each strand straight and with a smooth finish with one stroke. I section my hair in two parts, top and bottom. And I got around each section in under 10 mins. I am well pleased with this purchase. Best early Christmas treat to myself ever. Girls, if your contemplating on buying this, trust me I rarely write reviews for a product I buy on Amazon but this is worth sharing. Go for it. It’s the best straightener out there to date!!! TREAT yourself 🥰
