Mini Bi-Pin MR16 Socket Holder for Light Bulbs with Base GU5.3, G4, MR11, MR16

I replaced the stock socket in my outdoor Malibu light. I wired it in and plugged in a light bulb and the socket has worked as expected. Only word of caution that I missed is the bracket for the mounting screw is square and the lamp base has rounded areas so it does not fit like the original. This was not a problem as there was plenty of room in the bulb housing.

These are good inexpensive replacement sockets for 12 volt high intensity light bulbs.

I bought these because the light hangs upside down and it needs some friction to hold the bulb properly. In addition it is in a pathway light so it needed to be small and thin. This satisfies all points. I have not installed it yet but I did test it and the holding clips are very good.

Great product, far superior to original equipment and less likely to fail over the years.

Silicone coated wire leads are a bit short at 4 inches. The ceramic base does not have a mica top plate, so I wouldn't use with a hot halogen, but worked fine with LED lamps in landscape lighting.

Simple solution for replacing older sockets that had rusted. Came as expected. Pre-stripped wires save time. Don't have pre-cut hole to mount so had to get creative.
