Setup went almost perfectly. Just loaded the app and hit the wifi button. I had to power reset the controller one time but worked fine after that. It has excellent coverage because it is mounted 100 feet outside in a wood box and still has connection. I can access over wifi or cell service.The program works well and has some unique features like adding pictures of each zone and internet weather correction. One thing it doesn't have is a rain sensor input. Hopefully the weather service is accurate.Make sure you ground the common input so the surge protection will work correctly.One thing that surprised me was the size of the the controller - approx 6"x9" - bigger than the last one I had.

Ugh - what a piece of crap... ugly design - looks like a kids toy from the 1970’s. Buyer beware - they dock you $10+ dollars if you buy and then return it - even if you opened the box but didn’t even take it out of the wrapping...

Seems to work well. Setup was fairly simple, although it took a few times to get it to connect to my WiFi. It seems like the location I have it in my garage might be at edge of my network because it has lost connection a few times and I had to go thru the connection process to get it online again.On a positive note, their support seems pretty good. I’ve contacted them twice via their chat and gotten quick responses, even on a Saturday.

Pro: Has manual controls on front which is the only reason I gave the second star.Cons: While the dial control is easy, the screen/button control on the right could be a little more intuitive... it's a little annoying the way it works. I had this thing right under a wifi router so it had full signal... that being said, the interface between the app and unit was EXTREMELY slow... i'm talking anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute delay when doing a command such as manual start from the app. About half the time trying to manually start a station for testing purposes, the app would produce a load data error after it just sat for 30 seconds. When the manual station would start, it would have a 30 second to one minute delay and then the timer shown on the app would be 30 seconds off of what the timer on the unit display screen would say. Regarding the app itself... generally speaking the concept and general layout is nice, but it just can get too confusing at some points in the scheduling process. I feel like it is more complicated than it needs to be... it's just not as intuitive as it could be... and I'm a techie!It is obviously designed/made in china as the manual (paper and online) has the grammar errors you normally see when a chinese company tries to write a manual in english. They need to work on this.Overall this thing has potential and could be so much better than it is... the company needs to fix all the issues and maybe a revision 2 would be better.

If I ever move, I'm taking this thing with me! I thought I took a big gamble buying this. Never heard of the Company. But, I had to replace my non-functioning controller, and the reviews on this one were good. I had this installed and running in 30 min. I might download the instruction manual someday. Now I have full control of watering my jungle from anywhere. I also like the predictive watering software. No, I did't get a discount for writing this review. Probably should have, though. 5 stars is rare for me. Now reduced to 3 stars because the WIFI radio failed after 1 year.

This is a great controller. I never expected so many features for such a low price! I received it during a heat wave and was impressed that it increased the watering time to help keep my garden green. I called support because my sprinklers ran for almost 10 minutes when I programmed 8 minutes for my lawn. They explained that it was the daily weather optimization and the controller adjusting to the weather conditions. They also explained how it would automatically decrease watering times based on the season and will increase or decrease based upon the daily weather. No more remembering to switch programs! They even sent me an email on Sunday telling me exactly how many minutes my sprinklers ran for during the week. The app made everything a breeze!

I just installed this controller and have very little experience with it, so this is a preliminary review. First, let me say I like the product. I think it will perform well, do everything it says and at not much over half the price of some of its more established competition. It may well be a 5 star product, but there is one drawback. I don't mean to make fun of anyone, but the instructions are not good. What you get for instructions in the box and online is sparse. They tell you what to do for the most common installation, but don't give alternatives. They tell you what to do but don't tell you what to expect when you do it, and, if it does not succeed, there is nothing. For example, there are 3 operations where you register the product, establish an account and do something else. You can't tell if all that is the same thing using the same password or 3 different things with 3 different passwords. I got it done, but I don't know how I did it. The customer service is easy to reach and the representative is courteous and knowledgeable, but, like the written instructions, the translation from Chinese is poor.
