Ere Perez - Avocado Waterproof Mascara | Sensitive Eye Safe (Black, 10 ml)

I've never made an Amazon review before, but I feel like this needs to be said. I have been looking for a brown waterproof clean mascara for as long as I can remember, and when I came across this one, I was skeptical because usually in the makeup industry, when we are met with “clean beauty,” it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to work. I purchased this mascara back in early March when we were going on a small trip to the river, and upon applying it the first time, I noticed how it took a substantial amount of product out at once, so I would often get quite a bit of it onto my eyelid, which with other mascaras is hardly ever a problem for me. However, when I did apply it, it was feathery, natural, and buildable, and it had that dark brown color that was even more natural. My first test was in the river. I tried not to blink very hard, like I do with every waterproof mascara that I wear in the water, but I noticed that I had no substantial flakes, if any at all, and when my face dried, the mascara looked like it was back to normal. Keep in mind it's currently mid-September, and the mascara seems to be working better than before. There's not as much product as there once was, so I don't have the issue where it scoops too much product out anymore. I recently ran out of my favorite eyeliner, and for some reason, I decided to use the mascara as an eyeliner with an angled brush, and it worked out perfectly, and it stayed on all day. Last week, I tried it on my lips and smudged it out with the excess around the bottle, since it is a clean mascara. It also turned out beautifully with a gloss on top. Later down the line, however, the mascara bottle cracked, and it seems to be spilling some of the product. I feel like I would personally change the vessel of the product and maybe even make the brush smaller or silicone, but the formula is magnificent. I want to get some for my brother's girlfriend, my sister, and my mom because I like it so much. Even though I wish it were at a lower price, I feel like it would be a worthy investment because here I am sitting with a mascara that works beautifully that I've had for 6 and a half months!

So glad I found this mascara — it’s officially my new go-to! I love the ingredients, and it truly is waterproof while still looking amazing. It comes off easily with a cleanser, which is a huge plus. The consistency is perfect — not too chunky and not too thin. Overall, such a great find. I’ll definitely be buying it again!

I think it’s the brush that I don’t like because once I spend several minutes applying, I do like the look of this mascara. But the brush is very fat on one end and tiny on the other, and it makes it impossible to use on your bottom lashes without smudging. The top lashes take to it better, but you have to apply several layers before it reaches to the end of your lashes.

This mascara left my lashes feeling soft & looking natural. The black is a nice neutral color and the formula coated the lashes nicely without becoming thick and clumpy, creating a lovely, your-lashes-but-better natural look. So why only four stars? Because the mascara wand is total crap. It's just the most BASIC spiral of bristles, with way too much space between each row. This results in the mascara being deposited only at the base of my lashes to about halfway up their length. So there's absolutely NO lengthening going on here. The only way to get it to the end of my lashes was to take the wand and try to dab the stuff onto the tips. Which didn't work well. Don't even attempt it on your lower lashes! Smudge city, baby. This is a real shame, because the formulation of this mascara is great. It's nice stuff that feels good on my lashes. But that brush....? Fugettaboutit!!

I didn’t realize how much of a difference the mascara makes in my lashes ability to hold a curl. I use this mascara after curling my lashes, and it holds a curl and looks fluffy and glamorous all day. The formula is somewhat dry, which I mean as a compliment. It’s dry enough that it doesn’t get gloopy at the base like most mascaras. I can wiggle the wand to be thorough at the base, which is what I usually do, but with other mascaras I end up with a mess. I love that this mascara is clean, goes on easily, layers easily, and lasts all day without flaking or smudging that I’ve noticed. I wait about 60 seconds before applying the second layer, so it’s still somewhat moist, and this works fabulously for adding depth and sultry glam. The picture that I posted does not do justice, as I was in a rush that day and not focusing on my lashes. At the end of the day, my oil cleanser removes the mascara fairly easily, although sometimes there is a bit of smudge left over, but nothing compared to the hell of removing most waterproof mascaras! I hope they never change this formula, as it has been years since I’ve been this excited about a mascara, and I’m a bit of a snob. ;)

I've been on a quest for some time to find a mascara that's safe but doesn't run down my face during a business meeting. I've tried many kinds and this is the first one that actually stays on my eyes without dribbling. I've been wearing it almost every day for about a month and it's been great! My eyes are very sensitive and there has been no irritation. Lots of product in the bottle and a decent size. I'm not sure why there are reviews here that say it runs. Yeah, unless you have a mascara loaded with harmful PFAS and chemicals, of course it's going to run if you bawl your eyes out. But the benefit you get with this mascara is no running under normal circumstances and chemical-free. I'm a big fan and will continue to order this one!

Bought this because I’m breastfeeding and wanted something clean but also that wasn’t going to come off easily throughout the day. First it feels like there is barely any product in the tube - super weird. The consistently also seems dry. 2. I barely noticed a difference in my lashes after applying. 3. It stains your clothes. I have a towel and shirt that have a black mark from this product. Will never buy it again. No thanks.

It’s waterproof, but it doesn’t seem to lengthen my lashes at all. It also must be super heavy, because I have naturally curly lashes but after a few hours with this on my lashes look droopy. Would not recommend.

I love this mascara! I had been using another brand for many years but would have to change it out every single month as it would dry out. This one is great. I love that it’s all natural. And it’s waterproof too. Great product! Awesome seller.
