Kid Approved, Mom Approved, Easy to Use!
Love, Love, Love these colored Crayola Palm Grip "Eggs"! My toddler was having trouble holding the standard crayons as she is developing her motor skills. Both of us were getting frustrated as the regular crayons kept breaking in half when she tried to use them. Each time a standard crayon broke it would become harder and harder for her to use them. I kept having to throw away so many broken crayons and purchasing more to replace them. In addition as a parent I was afraid she may choke if she ever put a broken piece in her mouth! She loves to color and this product is the perfect shape for her little hands to hold onto without the possibility of breaking while she uses it. Beautiful colors, easy to grip and fun shape for kids! From a parental concern they are well designed, affordable and don't break easily if thrown or rolled off the table which is a huge plus around small children! *Highly Recommended by This Mom!

Baby Rose loves them - they should last years
My almost 2 year old granddaughter is able to hold these and make awesome scribbles, lines, and concentrated colors with these. They fit perfectly in her little hands, and she has a ball using them and watching how they mark. And they will likely last months and months - she will outgrow them before they get too worn down.

Great for little fingers
Gave as a gift. Great value for the money and easy for toddlers to use.

Nice first crayons
We started with the triangular crayons for our 15 month old which she easily broke and couldn't help but peel off the wrappers. We thought these would be better, but she literally cried when we offered them to her. We tried another time and she tried to take a bite out of it. Now they seem to just make her mad and she pushes them away. They probably would be fine if we had started with these. She can hold them in her hand easy enough and they color ok (the triangular ones seem a little easier to color with since they're softer).

I love these crayons and so does my 2 year old ...
I love these crayons and so does my 2 year old daughter. I've bought her the triangle crayons before and she always broke them, tore the paper off and would try to eat them some times. These egg shaped ones are awesome and they fit perfect in her little hands. One crayon did break after only having for a couple hours though, they are thick but hollow in the very center. I emailed Amazon asking if I could somehow get a replacement and they express shipped a whole new set over night to me for free. Very good buy and worth the money.

Great for small hands
I was psyched to see these crayons, as my son is 16 months old and I thought I would have to wait much longer to introduce him to the world of coloring. I got my regular monthly e-mail from LeapFrog that suggested coloring for toddlers, so I figured I would look into it and found these crayons that said 12 months plus! Upon receiving them, they look like they will be perfect for my son's small hands - and small mouth, in that there is really no way a child could choke on these simply by putting them in their mouth. They are much bigger than a toddler's mouth, but not too big for their hands, so they can enjoy coloring and you can enjoy quiet time without having to worry about them choking on a crayon.

Just Didn't Work For 18-Month-Old
I want to add my voice to those that say that these egg-shaped crayons are not as useful for younger toddlers as they might seem to be. Issues: 1) Shape makes them harder to hold. My little guy has trouble holding these at 18 months old and he is an average-sized kid, right around 50 percentile for everything. He gets frustrated with them quickly (I think due to their size) and gets more enjoyment out of dumping them onto the floor. Due to their shape, the eggs roll everywhere and guess who has to go find them all! 2) Breakable and easily chipped. Sadly after a couple of dumping experiences onto a hardwood floor, several of the crayons have broken or chipped off chunks, which is not safe when one's toddler eagerly puts things in his mouth. On the positive side, my son had no trouble making marks with them. Granted he was just swiping at the page but was amazed each time that he left a line. I had more trouble trying to make defined lines and shapes with my adult hands and trying to be precise (which doesn't work with egg-shaped crayons). Bottom line: I probably am going to set these aside and see if they might work again when he's a bit older. However, I may try some stick-shaped crayons in the meantime.

You can never go wrong with Crayola!
Easy for 16 month old to hold! Easy to produce the colors! Why does Crayola have to be more pricy than other brands? But I trust Crayola and won’t not buy another brand.

Big warning
It's very good in principle until your child decides to throw it into your TV... Then you realize that it could do some serious damage not suitable for children under 5 but then again above 5 years can carry a normal craion just fine

OK, easy to hold but not intuitive for small kids
I have given these to a 1 year old, I found that these aren't the easiest for small kids to use to draw. They use normal crayons more intuitively. Obviously these have the benfit that they are to big to swallow, however I would recommend just waiting till they are a little old and giving them crayons.

Needs to be used while toddler is supervised at all times
Eggs are designed in layers which can easily brake when dropped on a hard surface or hit together. You end up with broken easter egg like pieces of crayons, makes it a serious choking hazard.

Makes a lovely gift
Bought as a present for a friends first granddaughter’s first birthday. They are brilliant, she and her granddaughter spend time colouring together, they couldn’t be happier. That makes them worth every penny. It's goid to immerse kids in positive creative activities from an early age, and it seems it keeps grandmas quiet happily occupied too. Being Crayolw they are exceptionally high quality products, and will last. But I’m just pleased with the happiness and simple pleasure they bring, but I’m soppy like that.
