PetSafe Martingale Quick-Snap Dog Collar, Raspberry Pink, 1 in, Medium

This collar is so nice for my pup she wore it from April 22 to June 26th 2020 before she grew out of it. I ordered her a medium in berry she was 42 lbs. at the time. She is now 60 lbs. and just put her new purple large collar on today (6/26/20). Yes I ordered the same collar when she grew out of the medium. We liked it that much! It has some give to it so it’s comfortable for her to wear. It hangs loose until it is hooked to her leash and she pulls. She’s very strong and with her 4 wheel drive she can be a force to be reckoned with if she decides to be stubborn. The fact that the snap never popped is saying something and not for lack of her trying! At any rate I never write reviews but this collar is great and you can’t beat the price for the quality.

I’m a repeat buyer of this specific collar. My first one has lasted 2 years and while the collar has faded from wear, the sun and being washed it’s still sting and has no fraying. Two of my dogs are in the red and a third is in the pink currently. They’re amazing collars for bigger dogs and extremely reliable. Sizing is a little difficult but adjusting the collars to fit safely is easy. 100% would recommend.

This collar is great! It is durable and comfortable and works very well and preventing our dog from pulling away. The snap make it easy to put the collar on or take it off, yet is sturdy enough to hold up to the constant pulling by our dog while walking. Unlike the "choke chain" training aids, the collar does not bite into our dogs neck and works even with id and rabies tags attached to the ring. We have been using this collar for a while now and our dog has learned to remain at the heel position while walking. I highly recommend this collar.

I've got 4 siberian huskies. I've been using these collars over 10 years and they're fantastic. I replace them every 3 to 4 years just to be safe. They are cloth choker collars, but please learn how to clicker train your dog(s). Don't rely entirely on choking them to get them to behave. I see people misusing choker collars all the time for their dog's entire life and it's saddening. Any dog can be trained, it's all about whether or not you're willing to put in the effort.

These are good to be almost like a choker chain but without being a chain. They look better than a choker chain, unless you're going for a tough dog look. They help for dogs that like to lead on a leash too far in front of you on walks or runs. Only reason it's not 5 stars is over time the ends begin to fray and you have to cut the excess and burn it with a lighter to prevent further frays.

I have a pit mix who’s energetic and likes to pull while walking. The vet had put this style of collar on her while boarding. I made the mistake of removing it and she’d chewed through it. This style makes managing walks so much more bearable. However, my previous purchase of a medium collar (she’s a muscular 35lb medium dog), has proven to NOT FIT ON PREVIOUS collars. But this one is a perfect 15.5inch fit on her 15inch neck! I’m thrilled with this purchase. I hope she doesn’t chew through this one, but if she does I’ll be purchasing this again for sure. On a side note, the raspberry color is awesome (from someone who doesn’t even like pink).

My crazy dog is the love of my life, only problem is she loves squirrels, hates public buses, and large trucks especially 16 wheelers. Unfortunately for me , she's a very strong 62 pound German Shepard/lab/pitbull hybrid. When any of these things come nearby she will pull and pull. We have even had various incidences including her leash popping right off from her tugging, and she's a part-time escape artist from any harness or normal collar. This collar saves my arms, and her life. After she ran into a busy intersection running from a 16 wheeler and scared me to death, I knew something had to change. I found this collar. My life and hers has become so much easier. She's still tries to pull and the collar GENTLY tightens and she relaxes. I can finally run with her without any worries. Squirrels don't stand a chance. My only wish is if it were a little thicker, for her anxiety. Going on three months and still no problems. Sizing: She's a medium size dog, 59-62 pounds. A medium works just fine for her.

I’d never seen this style of harness until I started shopping for a harness for our new pup. Settled on a back clip harness, this seemed like an interesting and sensible development. Well, it is. The clip at the chest gives you control over the centre mass of your dog. It takes very little correction since the pull works to pull your dog to the side and back toward you, putting them off balance if they’re trying to pull forward. The Martingale loop reinforces the correction with increased pressure on the dog’s chest. Contrast this to a back clip harness. If your dog pulls a back clip may not be a solution. Think about it; sled dogs are clipped on their backs, right? Note that it took me a couple of weeks of adjusting and tweaking to get the harness to sit right. I wish I’d gone to the PetSafe web site for instructions first off- would’ve save me a lot of time. Still took some fiddling, but once set up correctly it fits and works amazingly well. Don’t be satisfied with an “OK” fit, keep playing with it in small increments until it *really* matches PetSafe’s description of how it should fit.

Nice sturdy collar, but very glad I took the time to read the reviews. Based on those, I made sure to get a size down. We have a mastiff/boxer cross and her neck is 19". Originally I figured she would need a large, but I sized down to a medium and it fits perfectly. Love the raspberry colour on her too!

Good collar but size chart isn’t accurate. Found the sizing to run very big. Our girls neck is 13 inches around so bought the medium and it’s MASSIVE on her and not safe. She could easily slip the collar. Had to go out and buy another one.
