When you first unbox and assemble this tree, you feel this is a cheap, handmade product from tape, PVC pipes, and cheap fabric leaves. It feels like I should've paid $50 rather than $80. HOWEVER... the amount of joy and comfort this tree brings me is well worth the cost! I additionally "planted" mine in a pot like such: 1. Purchase a PLASTIC 10in or 11in pot. 2. Drill a large hole in the bottom so the brown wire's plug fits through—you can unscrew the brown plug from the black, AC adapter. 3. Cut craft or flower arrangement foam to make a bottom base in the pot. 4. Use the included ground stakes to stake the tree into the foam base. 5. Cover the top with rocks, spanish moss, or even a blanket to accomplish whatever look you're going for. I chose river rocks from Hobby Lobby's flower arrangement department. Potting it gives it a better sense of being "real" and also raised the tree about 7in taller. The additional potting materials costed me about... $40 more, so this tree was very expensive for me in the end, but it's absolutely worth it. It really is the highlight of my room. Also, the tree's leaves are not pristinely cut—the fabric is frayed and loose on the edges—but it really doesn't matter if you're even 2ft from the tree. You can't even tell. It looks real, honestly, if you aren't right up on the tree and glaring at it—which, why would you do that after being introduced to the tree? So it's completely functional and serves it's purpose. Also, YES, this tree is absolutely beautiful with its lights turned on, even in a bright room. It has fully adjustable limbs, which means you can really make it fit your space, such as tucking it into a tight corner, or putting it against a flat wall as I've done. You can quickly and easily adjust the branches out of the way, which makes it look even more real, like it has grown itself in the place you put it. One last thing, you'll want to plug the tree into a light switch, timer, or remote controlled outlet. Otherwise, you will be manually unplugging and plugging in the tree when you want its lights on since there's no remote or switch on the wire—which I'm actually grateful for because I have it plugged into my room's light switch outlet. I wanted this in the family area in a corner that needed “something” but didn’t care for the base look so easy to unscrew and added to a pot I had (used garden foam around to secure and added moss to top - all inexpensive). Second I agree with many of the reviews that lights not a warm white - rather a natural white and stark even on the lowest setting. It was too bright and didn’t compliment the plant. Last - and not for those who don’t wanna mess with it… I grabbed some amber acrylic paint from Michael’s under $4 and used my child’s simple small paint brush and went over the lights to MAKE it a warm white. It probably took 20 min and worked exactly as I wanted… for the price point, I didn’t mind the extra tweaks bc in the end it was what I wanted. This is the 4’ Olive and btw no olives on leaves as with some but I didn’t mind … thought it kept it more simple and versatile for my taste.

I get so many compliments on this tree. It’s exactly what I wanted. I just wish it was a tiny bit taller. The taller one was too tall.

More than I expected. It’s so pretty and glows warmly in the corner of my living room. The first tree I bought from another company lasted 20 days. I had sent it back and found this pretty little Olive tree. Not disappointed at all, I just hope it lasts. Very easy to assemble. Bendable and twists according to your likes. Lovely and very happy.

So beautiful!! More than I honestly expected. I'm a "natural" plant lover not fake plant lover but I am so happy with the purchase!! The lightening is beautiful and the tree looks so real. Absolutely gorgeous! P.s. I never write reviews and had to with this purchase! :)

Very beautiful olive threes. I ordered two. Unpacked today, put together in 5 minutes and plugged in to see lights. I’m going to order one more so i can have them in every room.

The tree looked better in the picture than an actuality. The lights are beautiful and perfectly placed, but the olive leaves are kind of cheap looking. I’m keeping it, but I’ve had better quality trees for the same or less money from Amazon
