Bolster the fortification of your Samsung Galaxy S7 with Spigen’s Tough Armor case for drop protection without the bulk. Review: Overall an excellent case - Overall this is a great surface case for the Galaxy S7. Very well made and sleek design which does not look cheap like some cases do. I used a Spigen tough armor case for my Galaxy S5 and used that phone for almost 3 years with Spigen case and it held up well and I was very happy with it. The case for the S7 looks just as well made and should hold up as well. The case is two parts, one rubbery part and one hard part that fits over a portion of the rubbery part on the back. The case is easy to install (I would remove the hard portion of the case before installing it so you can make sure the case fits well over the buttons. The case feels rubbery where it feels like you can maintain a good grip on the phone with out it slipping out of your hand. Some people reported the case was too slick like holding a bar of soap. Curious as I have the exact opposite to view. The case does come in two other colors and I guess it is possible the gold and grey tone cases are slicker but I don't know this as I purchased the solid black version. The case allows easy access to the charging port on bottom and has precisely made holes for the mic and other openings on the edge of the phone. The opening on back of the phone allows you to use the camera and flash without obstruction and allows easy access to the heart rate sensor. The only negative I have found thus far is the audio jack opening on bottom of the phone near the opening for the USB charger connection may interfere with some larger stereo mini plugs. Most stereo mini plugs will fit without a problem however. Also the openings for the USB port and stereo mini jack don't have flaps over them. Some people mentioned this but for me that extra flap would be annoying to have to open every time I charged the phone. Screen protectors: The case does stretch over the screen about 1mm all the way around so a screen protector that goes edge to edge will not work with this case. Finding a good screen protector for the S7 (and S8) is entirely another issue as it is very hard to find a screen protector for this phone that works well due to the fact the screen is not flat and tapers off towards the edges. I have tried 3 different ones thus far and they were all terrible. Glass screen protectors are pretty much out for this phone as the screen is not flat. I am currently trying a screen protector made by Armorsuit. It is case friendly and fits well as it does not go completely to the edges of the screen, it is allows for a 1.5mm space around the screen left uncovered by the protector. I will rate that protector separately. As far as protection is concerned; I am someone who is usually very careful with their phone and try not to drop it. I did drop my Galaxy S5 phone a couple of times on my driveway while it had the version of this Spigen case for that model installed and it completely protected the phone from getting damaged. The only damage was a couple of scuffs on the case. I know any case will not prevent all possible damage, I don't see this case protecting the phone if you drive over it with a car or if someone throws it forcefully onto the street, but it will protect most common mishaps. Review: Wow! - The best case I have ever owned. It is a great combination of style, protection, and functionality. Amazing considering the price. I like the sleek styling and color of this phone case. This isn't overbuilt/over sized like the otterboxes I have owned in the past. It feels like it is protected from any reasonable accident that could my way. The corners have added protection, in case of a drop. It has a nice bevel to protect the screen enough, w/o being an annoyance. I also like how this doesn't have a built in screen protector, which can attract lint. I keep my phone by itself in my pocket. Lint is a problem, though there is nothing to scratch it like keys, etc. I also like how the naked screen feels w/o a protection. As this phone is already dust/water proof, there is no reason to have dust/water covers on the ports. Furthermore they added to the functionality by giving extra large openings to this phone. It is always annoying to take a phone cover off as you can't plug in a device. It would have been nice if there was a kickstand, though they do have the slim armor that has a kick stand. Though apparently this one has better drop protection and it was $10 cheaper at the time. In all, this case affords some of the best protection, that doesn't go overboard, for a good price, doesn't hinder functionality, and all for a good price. Pros: Protection w/o being Bulky Easily accessible ports Styling Quality Price Cons: No kick stand. Edits: One Week of ownership: When showing a friend we noticed how difficult the case was to take off as the tolerances of this case are so precise. I was able to remove it by leaving back on. Still liking it a lot. Works great with Spigen Charger

Excellent quality and fit, from a previous Otterbox, Seidio and Incipio owner
As a former user of Otterbox Defender, Seidio Convert, Seidio Dilex, and Incipio Dualpro cases on various devices, I can say the Spigen Tough Armor case is well made and appears to offer excellent protection. The matt finish is reasonably grippy, but not enough to interfere with putting the device into, or removing the device from, your pocket. The fit of the case is excellent - it's easy to install, and almost as easy to remove. The port openings on the case are large enough to handle bulky connectors. My only complaint is that Spigen doesn't make a holster (belt clip) available, though I did find a third party (Encased) holster designed for this case. UPDATE 12/30/2016: The holster mentioned above arrived a day after my original review, and it's clearly not designed for this case. While the height and width are ok, the holster will accommodate a much thicker device, resulting in a sloppy fit for the Galaxy S7 in the Spigen Tough Armor case. The good news is that I did manage to find a holster that's an excellent fit - the holster from the Platinum case/holster for the Galaxy S6. Platinum is the Best Buy house brand, and their cases/holsters are manufactured by Seidio. The Platinum case/holster is the equivalent of the Seidio Surface model, though the holster is slightly modified from the Seidio-branded one. It's an excellent fit in all 3 dimensions, and I believe the Seidio Surface holster for the Galaxy S6 should also fit just as well with the Spigen Tough Armor case for the Galaxy S7.

Protection for breakage outstanding - would buy their cases for future phones
Great product, highly recommended, and will plan to by their other cases for future phones. The best of this is: 1) Outstanding protection for breakage/shattering: From March 2017 to March 2019 after dropping my Galaxy S7 dozens or probably many more times (though I am in general very careful but it still happens) on hard surfaces my phone never broke or cracked. The cushioning appears to be very carefully designed and protective. It also seems to distribute weight so that the phone always lands flat even after tumbling a few times on its side! 2) Great screen protection considering no screen protector: The very secure fit and high lip/edge around the screen's face has prevented any damage to the screen as well. I still should have purchased a screen protector, to avoid scratch, dirt, etc., but knock wood, without it this did an outstanding job. 3) The only flaws: --They should have created a seals for the holes in the bottom for the charging port, if not the other openings, since it does not protect from rain/moisture. Never a big problem, but if you have it upside down in pocket (due to Samsung's bad idea to have phone jack on the bottom), rain could get inside. --the additional "cutaway" of the case's bottom edge area is not necessary. It would be better if they had the same level of protection at the bottom of the phone apart from the openings for headphone, charger, speaker. But again, it has protected the phone without an issue. --the surface of the back should be made a surface which is less smooth, so it is not potentially slippery. However, the cushioned top and bottom edges compensates for this, because it is more rubbery, both for secure hand grip and when laying on any surface. That makes it overall fine for the risk of sliding, such as on a car dashboard or other surface.

Protected my phone from a FIVE STORY DROP!
Best. Case. EVER. This case has proven its worth dozens of times, after my tendency to drop my phone constantly on the pavement. But it blew my mind just recently when 100% protecting my phone from a FIVE STORY HIGH DROP! I was sitting on my hotel balcony when it slipped out of my pocket. I didn't feel it slip... I only heard something hit the balcony railing. I froze, my eyes squeezed shut in full cringe mode, hoping to god that I wasn't about to hear a second sound from further away below me (indicating that it had actually fallen). Just when I opened my eyes, after thinking it had been long enough, I heard that dreaded sound of my phone hitting the pavement 50' below me. At that moment, I knew my phone was worthless. I had just utterly destroyed my phone. I was thinking I'd be lucky if the screen wasn't shattered, even with the case and tempered glass. I ran down, picked up my phone, and absolutely couldn't believe it... It had landed on the top left corner and the only reason I even know that is because there's a little scuff mark and the tempered glass is a little cracked in that corner. Mind = blown. I did not expect this case to protect from that level of impact at all. I never even skipped a beat! I picked up my phone & have been using it just fine for the past 2 months since this incident. Aside from that, I also really appreciate how protective this case is versus how thin/lightweight it is. It doesn't add a bunch of obnoxious bulk. I only buy cases that have a softer, more rubbery interior coupled with a harder plastic shell for better protection and ease with sliding it in & out of pockets & whatnot. This case is the perfect combination of all my preferences and I would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent balance between protection and aesthetic appeal 😊 PS - See the pic I attached for an idea of how far up I dropped my phone from. Toward the left, you'll see a teeeeeny tiny water bottle on the ground which is not much bigger than the size of my phone... That'll give you a good idea of the scale. Best case ever!

Overall fantastic case - just pick your screen protector wisely
I moved to this case from an Otterbox Defender on my old S4, which I purchased wayyy back when Otterbox was the only real well-known name in phone cases. Boy is this a night and day difference. Extremely satisfied with this case, and not looking back. Pros: -Sleek. The old cases I had were always rubbery in texture and caught on my pockets. This one is quite a bit smoother, but not to the point where it feels slippery to the touch. -Solid feel. The case is dual layered (soft inner layer, hardened outer shell) and feels strong, but way thinner compared to other double layered cases like the Otterbox Defender. I don't feel like my phone doubles in size with this thing on. I can;t comment on the protective quality of the case since I haven't dropped my phone yet. but I feel like it should hold up as well if not better than most cases. -Tight fit. This was my BIG pet peeve with other cases. The latex/rubber/whatever would always come loose and begin to pull off on the corners of the phone. This process happened 10x faster if I ever had to remove the case for whatever reason. I've had to snap this case on and off about 4 times in the process of removing SIM/SD cards and it fits on like a glove each time. Cons: -No access to the microSD port without removing the case. Not a huge issue, but still worth mentioning. -No protective flaps/covers for the charging port/headphone jack. Not a deal breaker, but worth noting if you're used to a case that has those things, like Lifeproof or Otterbox. -Screen protectors. This is the only thing that I think SERIOUSLY needs mentioning, and even then, it's not necessarily the case's fault. The issue stems from the S7 itself, which has curved edges on its screen (not as pronounced as the S7 Edge, but still curved compared to the S6 and earlier). As for protecting the screen, they come in two varieties, the film and glass based ones. Their compatibility with this case will vary based on what you choose. For film, the curving isn't a huge issue. It fits snugly up to the edges of the screen, and the case snaps pretty snugly over it. For glass, there's two kinds - flat protectors that only cover the screen itself, and curved protectors that cover the entire front face of the phone. The flat protectors fit just fine with the case since it doesn't reach the edges, but the tradeoff is that since the screen curves, you get a ring or "halo" of glass that doesn't adhere to the edges. It's more of a cosmetic issue than a protective one, but dust and stuff can still get under that if you don't put it on carefully. The raised lip of the case does help to prevent that though. Curved glass reaches all the way across the front of the phone, BUT the added thickness is too much for the case to snap over. Putting the case back on my phone after applying the protector caused it to pop off. This happened with two separate curved glass protectors. The case is too snug a fit to support it. Essentially, if you're going to go with a screen protector with this case, pick a flat glass one (albeit with a halo effect), or a film one (which doesn't protect against screen impacts). Other than that bit of warning, I can't think of anything negative to say about the case. I'm extremely satisfied with it and will look to Spigen the next time I upgrade.

Give Spigen a chance, their reviews may be odd but their products are great!
UPDATE! : I received both my case and phone last night. All I can say is wow this case is even better than the S5 version, perfect fit, not bulky or slippery, easy to hold, all buttons and ports are easily accessible, and it looks amazing. Pretty sure I'll never buy from a different case manufacturer. OLD Review: I bought this case because I have the exact same one but for my S5, (the S7 case and phone arrive today) and it's honestly a great case. Sure it's off putting to see the reviews paid for, but hey they are at least stating they were paid for. Spigen may not have the best sense when it comes to having their products reviewed, but the product is still good nonetheless, besides they need to up the "star rating" to attract more business as more and more case manufacturers will be pumping out S7 cases, they need to stay competitive. I personally don't care what their marketing tactics are so long as the product is worth it. And I can at least say the S5 version is, I don't see how the S7 would differ. If I'm wrong once I receive my case and phone today I'll update this review. I have no doubt though that the S7 case being of the same construction and quality as the S5 case will be just as good if not better. Give them a try, they're a great alternative to Otterbox and more affordable. PROS: Slim Design, Solid Feel, Light weight, Rubber layer is sturdy and actually wraps and stays around edges (Otterboxes rubber NEVER stayed on right (commuter series for S5)) CONS: The black matte one attracts fingerprints easy, but really I just wipe it off on my pants, problem solved.

My wife and I got a couple of these cases for our galaxy s7's, and they've been great. The case is very rugged and durable (has withstood drops and bangs in the house, on the street, hiking in the mountains, and water skiing - oops)...even with all they bangs, the case hardly has any scratches on it and has protected the phone so that when I've taken it out to dust off corners and such, it still looks new. It's also very easy to take on and off without damaging the case or phone. It doesn't impinge on any of the outlets or cameras (still easy to plug in headphones, etc.) and will likely accommodate any screen protector that doesn't push too far over the edges (I have tempered glass that doesn't quite reach to the edges and my wife has a matte cover that just barely reaches to the edges). Even with all of this, the case doesn't add much to the profile of the phone, which remains pretty slim and isn't uncomfortable and doesn't catch on things in my pocket or in her bag. Overall great quality and would buy again. Pros: -slim profile -very durable/rugged -fits the phone well, easy to put on and remove -doesn't impinge on camera, buttons, or outlets -doesn't catch on pockets, etc. Cons: -none, unless being water proof is a priority for you

Spigen

Safe and stylish
I would never buy a phone without a spigen case anymore. I have been using spigen cases for a few years now. And after my and my wife get fed up with our phones and get new ones we can always sell our old ones for a good price because they are always still in mint condition thanks to these cases. I have dropped my phone with this case on atleast once a day as I am kind of clumsy and a lot more carefree knowing that I have this case on and no problems yet except for one minor scratch on the screen. The case itself is a nice sleek black and isn't too bulky at all. I really enjoy the feel of the material. The fitting for the buttons and the camera holes are spot on and is made to fit. This case with a finger grip and screen protector is the best and cheapest phone insurance out there.

Funda super-robusta.
