Worth the Buy!
I purchased this for my wife cuz she wanted to make Siomai (filipino dish). Upon opening it, we already noticed that the quality is good, the steamer looks presentable, like the ones you would see at chinese restaurants. When we used it, the steamer worked really well and the size was just perfect where she was able to steam more than a dozen without over crowding the steamer! And cleaning it is easy . The ring fit perfect on the pot also. No complain from us, this was worth the purchase!

Great Cooking Tool
Great product when you get used to it. The metal rim placed on the top of a steaming pot is simply marvelous. Does a fabulous job on steamed vegetables, dumplings etc. Beats the microwave. Just takes a little more time but I like the way the food comes out it's not over cooked and nice and moist.

Good, basic, fits multiple pan sizes with the metal ring
It is exactly how it's described. A two-level (+lid, so 3 piece) bamboo steamer. Decently sturdy construction. Probably not a buy-it-for-life. (I mean, how much can you ask from bamboo wood laced and nailed with bamboo? Be reasonable here.) We used hand-fitted parchment paper for steaming with ours. This did a great job of keeping food from sticking to the rack, but some bao buns did expand enough to stick to the side. That took a bit of scrubbing and warm water to get off. Again, nothing unexpected. This [refreshingly honest] doesn't pretend to be non-stick. I will probably oil (per instructions) it to keep the bamboo from drying out until the next time we use it. Steamed buns are not yet a staple for us, and I don't want it to crack from drying out. The metal ring is handier than I initially thought. It allows me to use most of my sauce pans as potential steamers. Note that on a gas range the ring may warp and discolor a bit from the heat coming around the edges of the pan. It doesn't seem to have done any harm; the warping tends to get fixed when you put the weight of a steamer full of food on top. It does stay discolored, but it's a working tool not a kitchen ornament. It saves me having to find a pan that exactly fits the steamer. Overall, good tool. Does its job. Requires some TLC. Good luck!

What a great space saving idea on your stovetop!
I was asking on a social media page for Cantonese cooking, the pros and cons of using the same seasoned wok for both cooking and steaming. I was once told using the same wok for steaming reduces the built up non-stick properties and requires re-seasoning the wok each time. Not for me. There was a suggestion to try one of these steaming rings which eliminates using the same wok, buying a separate wok or other cooking vessel to use for steaming with either bamboo or stainless steel steaming trays. This steaming ring arrived undamaged and inside a clear plastic bag. The dreaded blue plastic glued to the ring has been changed thankfully. This sturdily built ring is easy to wash and use. I placed the ring over a small stockpot I use and placed several 10" stainless steel dim sum steaming trays on it. The ring held the weight without sagging. It has a ridge to prevent steaming condensation from dripping on your stovetop. This ring allows me use a smaller diameter pot to steam with rather than using a 10" or 14" wok can take up some space on your cooktop. I am very satisfied with this brand of steaming ring. Great price for a ring that seems sturdier than others made if aluminium being sold.

Nice addition to the kitchen
Nice addition if your steamer doesn't fit a specific pan - makes for lots of options - easy to clean and easy to store.

Very easy to use
It was very easy to use and the food came out very delicious with perfect texture. More taste from vegetables than sautéed ones. Cloth liners are convenient too. I use it for breakfast everyday.

Drops on the stainless ring, perfect!

Works and looks as described. However it arrives with blue film on one side and is an absolute pain in the butt to remove this. See pic.

The ring that came didn't look like the description. It had holes (for drainage maybe) that are unfinished and very sharp! No HAPPi STUDIO label so it looks like one of the other steamer rings on Amazon that is half the price. Looks like they pulled a bait and switch. Will be returning.

The blue plastic film is really hard to peel off. But I like it because it is made of 304 stainless steel.
