Convenient for simple things. Good quality and functionality. The wallet size makes it easy to carry everywhere. Print is legible and it has a nice look and finish. The scale is easy to use.

This basic low-tech gadget has been great for me with the tasks I've needed it for: most-routinely taking small measurements of 3" or less, as an alternative to keeping a bulky tape measure on my belt (or in my pocket), causing my pants to 'droop' and/or my shirt to become untucked. The square corners are of course functional for measuring purposes, but are a risk of pocket-wear, depening on how one stores it. I use my wallet, or keep it in a small stack of other things, in my shirt pocket. I keep it in the included cardboard sleeve, and also in the included inner, clear-plastic sleeve. This is a bit 'fussy' trying to keep track of both the cardboard sleeve and the plastic sleeve, and trying to keep them 'nice'... in my routine tasks, I routinely have dealt with oil-covered metal, so gets a bit messy/problematic, especially when trying to put the card back in all the sleeves, lol. It would be a useful improvement, to have a single, durable plastic sleeve, of course only very slightly larger than the 'measuring-card' itself, i.e. with rounded corners, to improve 'stowability' Either way I like it and it has saved me the trouble of having to carry around a much bulkier tape measure.

Bought for a mechanical engineering student and she loves it!

The nice folks at Genius Labs went out of their way to get me a pristine Pocket Engineer. Turns out the glossy info card that accompanied my first Pocket Engineer ended up having it's coating melt in a hot delivery truck, fusing itself to the pocket tool. Genius Labs tracked me down and sent out a new tool immediately. They assured me they are working on the problem and will remedy. If you happen to receive a glued card don't worry, Genius Labs will fix it. It's in my wallet now and I can't wait to impress everyone with this awesome tool! My previous snarky review: It seems like it would be a nifty tool…but what the heck?! No excuse to glue the label on the card! I was thinking maybe the paint wasn’t dry when they packaged it, but it’s laser engraved! We’ll see if some Goof-Off will remove the paper. I’m not angry at you “Genius” Lab Gear, just severely disappointed.

Purchased as a graduation gift for a young man going for an engineering degree. I had no idea what to get him and by the description this sounded like it might be useful. It arrived with a seal over the sleeve of the card and I didn't want to break the seal to see what it looked like. It should fit nicely in a wallet since it is credit card sized and does not seem to be flimsy materials.

This is a nice gadget to have in your wallet. It's about the size of a credit card/license, made out of stainless (I think) and comes in a cardboard sleeve. It's ruled along two long edges in inches and centimeters, with a protractor along one of the shorter edges and conversion factors in the body of the card. The other side has a bunch of constants and formulae. Very useful!

This is a cleverly designed little tool for engineers. It takes an engineer to appreciate it but it's packed with useful little tools and references.

Bought as an extra gift for my dad's birthday. He absolutely loved it! Far more than I expected. It's sturdy and well made and fits into a credit card slot, so is readily available. Don't underestimate it for the man who likes to be prepared!
