Life saver!
Before the pandemic I had had success with using ACV to loose weight. Two years down the line I gained the lockdown 40 and ACV now makes me terribly sick. Being 32 isn’t like being in your 20s. So I did some looking around for something to help me loose weight and also help with energy. I’ve been going to the doctor for months with low energy with no results showing anything wrong. I thought maybe I’d try looking into a natural remedy and came upon maca root. The pills taste a little herbal but are easy to swallow. I started with one pill and had no side effects so I upped to two pills a day. One at breakfast and one at lunch and I’ve been doing that for about a week now. I’ve noticed an uptick in my energy, mood, motivation, and memory. I suffer from clinical depression and SSRIs never work for me for long. So I am hoping this might help me get through those winter blues. It’s honestly been amazing though. The first weekend I took this I had the energy to clean my whole house; something I really struggle with. I don’t feel jittery or crash like taking caffeine. It’s also helped tremendously with the food cravings. I’m an emotional eater and taking this along with eating better I’ve lost 5 pounds so far and feel motivated to start working out again. I don’t crave food all day long like I used to and find it easier to say no to snacks and junk food. I can’t say I’ve seen much of a change on the libido side but I’ll take the good I’ve gotten from it so far. I’m not sure if I’ll up to 3 a day just yet. Right now 2 works for me. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a boost.

If you are TTC & have regular cycles Do Not take this!
If you are regular and trying for a baby stick to the basics, prenatal, vitamin D, vitamin C. I tried macaroot because we are supposed to be trying for a baby soon and I wanted to give us our best chances. Unfortunately maca messed up my cycle to the point that I didn't ovulate in July and my period came four days early. It was a much different cycle with wierd menses. Then I ovulated really early on Cd8 which was two days into August, normally ovulation is on cycle day 16,17,18. Bizarre for sure. Use macaroot sparingly if you must and do your research, for both negative and positive results. I took it for six days and can only pray I get back on track. I gave the pills to my post menopausal mother and a friend with pcos. My mom hasn't actively noticed a difference at this point. They do help with energy but certainly at a cost. If you are taking these for fertility and regularity I would start by taking one a week, but only if you have an irregular cycle to start with and not if you have any conditions that are estrogen dominant.Update : my cycle went back to normal but it took a couple months. These pills flipped my cycle so that I'll be ovulating on my honeymoon so I can't be too mad. I actually think taking these in much smaller doses would be beneficial. Like one pill per month after ovulation. Or if you have pcos then one pill per week and monitor for side effects. Anything too intense and I would stop taking them immediately.

Very good supplement, especially for older, chronically depressed people
I have been using this product since early June, when I received a sample for review from Viva Labs. I admit I was skeptical and I have to admit a number of the areas in which it is said to help do not apply to me.I will say this, I have used this product and others by Viva Labs and their vegetarian formulas seem to deliver their supplements to the body very efficiently. Another plus is that they have absolutely NO unwanted side effects, no nausea, dizziness or any other such unwanted effect.I am diagnosed with Chronic Major Depression, so energy and mood have been an increasing problem as I have aged. I am now 66. With this product I have noticed a much more consistent, stable, positive mood. I also have experienced increased energy and stamina, and I have even lost a few pounds. Of course, slow weight loss is more likely to last than any weight loss gotten via "quick fix" type products.I give this my highest recommendation. The nurse practitioner who works with my physician is also an herbalist and has also noted these changes in me and now recommends the product to patients.

May Work For PCOS Sufferers
I suffer with PCOS and have been since I was a teenager. I have been searching for natural alternatives to help with symptoms from PCOS. I suffer from heavy periods and have lots of clots. I have only been taking these pills since March 2, 2022. I'm not sure if it's the pills but I noticed that after a week of taking them, my period has slowed down tremendously. I don't pass huge clots and I barely bleed. Normally I bleed continuously. Last week, I stopped bleeding for 4-5 days straight. After the 5th day, I only noticed a spec of blood and a teenie tiny clot. The instructions states that you should take 1 pill 3 times a day. I take 6 pills a day. I figured I needed more dosage introduced to my system. Also, I'm not having any negative side effects or experiencing anything that would cause me to stop taking them.Edit: August 2, 2022 (TMI Update)I had to stop taking these because they caused my bowel movements to become not regular. I would go almost a week without a bowel movement. I also started feeling nauseous and started to feel bad on a daily basis. I got better and was "regular" once I stopped taking these. This was just my experience. I would say stick to the recommended dosage.
