Rugged, Lightweight, and Built for Travel
The Pelican Air 1615 Multi-Purpose Hard Case is hands-down one of the best protective cases I’ve ever owned. I travel frequently with sensitive gear—cameras, electronics, tools—and this case delivers exceptional protection without the bulk. It’s surprisingly lightweight for its size, thanks to the Air series design, yet still feels incredibly rugged and durable. The interior is spacious and customizable, making it easy to organize everything securely. I opted for the TrekPak divider system, which adds even more versatility. The wheels roll smoothly, and the retractable handle makes transport effortless, even through airports or rough terrain. After months of use, including flights, road trips, and outdoor shoots, the case still looks nearly new. The latches are solid, the seal is tight, and I have full confidence that my gear is safe inside. If you need serious protection with smart design, the 1615 is worth every penny.

Solid product would buy again
One of my favorite Pelican cases yet. If you're deciding between the 1650 and the 1615 air, the 1650 is beefier and has a stronger frame, but this is plenty protecting capability in my opinion. I use it as a travel case for clothes. Extremely lightweight compared to the 1650 case. I have both. As far as weight capacity, I haven't tested, but im sure it cant hold a solid amount. The case does have some flex empty especially the closing top which can cause an uneven quick close to line up. Not a deal breaker. Definitely better suited for airlines where weight can cost $ or if you're trying to maximize gear in lieu of weight.

It’s Pelican, that says enough. Great Carrier
Been eyeing this for a while, finally made the purchase. Couldn’t be happier. This thing could fall out of a plane and I think it would survive. Love the Pelican Warranty too. Highly recommend for travel or whatever you use it for.

It's a pelican.
The Good: - It's precisely the upper bound on luggage limits - it weighs almost nothing - It's nearly indestructible - it will make your stuff nearly indestructible if you use it right (foam packing etc) - easy to move around, wheels work great and handle works great The Bad: - It's a pelican and it's priced like one, but you didn't have to come all the way down here to figure that one out. You probably want to buy it. The DIY: If you're at all handy, I would highly recommend getting a hercules foam cutter and some foam by the roll rather than the pick n pluck they offer standard. It'll be way, way cheaper, and you'll be able to pack more in without the foam deteriorating on you. If you pluck the pick n pluck down to a wall that's one cell wide, it dissolves in a matter of two trips. I cut my own and it lasts for years.

Great purchase!
I bought this as an early Christmas gift for my lineman husband! He is constantly traveling for work every week and occasionally goes on Storm and every week I’m washing his duffel bag from getting dirty or wet in the bed of his bucket truck and this was the perfect solution and it holds a lot of clothes!

Excellent Scuba Diving Travel Case!
I bought this because I was travelling to Spain to scuba dive during a vacation and will be moving there soon, where I can easily travel to many diving spots around Europe. This case fits all my scuba gear, (BCD, regulator set, wet suit, fins, two masks, electronics case, sundry bag, snorkel, etc.), less a tank of course and weights. Although it could fit the weights, that puts it over the maximum weight for a large check-in suitcase. So I usually carry my weights in a separate clothing suitcase. I'm mostly a warm water diver, so I only carry a shorty 2.5/3mm wetsuit and only need 6 kilos of weight for salt water. If I'm diving deeper, I'll rent a full suit and extra weights, along with the tank(s). This Pelican Air case is just a pinch under the maximum size for checked luggage. It's very convenient with the wheels and handle to get where you're going or for hauling through the airport. I also purchased TSA replacement locking latches with keys. (The Nanuk pin combination locks also work, but I wanted to have the locking latches so I didn't have to worry about stashing or losing the Nanuk locks). I'm sure this case would work for many other things. Excellent quality and well worth the cost to protect expensive and sensitive equipment.
