A sleeping mind wakes up as a Man on a Path
In respect, I come from a lot of trauma in life; I don’t dare try to say I know another man’s troubles, but I know what it is like to come from a place of being worried about everything to a place where I am enjoying the scenery and looking forward to what may be. Paul Coelho turns the tables yet again with a fascinating way of bringing about an interesting story, rather, parable, for the reawakening of one’s Soul - the Warrior of the Light. Filled with wisdom from multiple cultures and walks of Life. These are all Truths that can be found all over: at any age, on any side of a political spectrum, on a battlefield, in a courtroom, on the job, at home with family. And he manages to fit it in such a beautiful way that I never tire from reading, nor feel like I’m stumbling through some wordy dissertation. Encore!

Powerful Teachings
I can't begin to thank Paulo for the vivid experiences that I had reading the book. Although it was a short read, it took longer than expected because I strived to apply its teachings.

Not what I was expecting after reading the alchemist
To be honest this one for some reason is hard for me to get into. After reading the alchemist which was a phenomenal book, this one for some reason doesn't do it for me. I guess I was expecting a story similar to how the alchemist was written. It is not that. Or at least that is how I see it. Yes each page is focused towards inspiration which some of it does resonate, but if you are looking for a story this is not it. Many find this is a good book, but for me it is hard for me to keep reading.

A Manual for the Spiritual Journey of the Warrior
Paulo Coelho writes in such a spiritually elevating way, particularly in this book about overcoming failure and maintaining a warrior spirit as you pursue your own destiny. I think this is something that connections with everyone and is what makes Paulo such a beloved author. This book is different than some of his better known stories (The Alchemist, The Witch of Portobello, etc.) because it is a manual - basically a collection of short thoughts good for one or two a day - but is equally inspiring and impacted me in a great way. It is easily read in one sitting but I think works best if read in small bursts and digested slowly over a period of a few weeks or a month as the ideas sink in. I also think he intended for The Alchemist to be read before this, so I would read that first if you haven't.
