Diamine - Sheen Fountain Pen Ink, Polar Glow, 50ml, Inkvent

It's a lovely ink. Flows well, behaves well (as you might expect from a Diamine ink). The color is lovely. A deep blue with hints of turquoise, paired with a stunning vivid red sheen. Quite the contrast, but I think it looks exceptional. The bottle is quite a strange and unique shape, as well.

This is a fantastic shading ink. It dries with a multi-hued effect with blues and reds. Diamine makes a similar ink called "Jack Frost" that has glitter in it and is beautiful. However, the glitter can sometimes mess with your pen, and you have to constantly agitate the pen to keep the glitter in suspension. This ink is basically Jack Frost without the trouble of the glitter - it is fantastic! For best results, use a medium or larger nib, although fine will work, but without as much shading. Also, shading inks can take a LONG time to dry, and this is no exception so be careful about that. 5 stars all the way!

Beautiful ink. Very subtle, yet noticeable dark purple sheen. Feathering is not a real concern in plain paper. There is some bleeding in ordinary paper, but to be expected. Want less? Use s finer nib. Want no bleeding? Get something like a carbon ink from Platinum. Dry time is a bit longer than other inks I've tried like JH, Lamy or Platinum. Overall a very beautiful blue colored purple sheen ink. Disclaimer: you do have to use good paper to appreciate the sheen. It works by giving off a metallic finish on the edges of the strokes and along the border of the lines -where the ink blots and is heavier. If you are using plain paper the sheen will not be as noticeable due to feathering. Don't hesitate, buy it. Looks super fancy and elegant.

I want to tell you it’s awful and not to buy it so that there will be more left for me but alas, This Ink Is THE GOAT it’s beautiful. It dries quickly enough for me to not smear but slowly enough for perfect calligraphy. So easy to use and glides perfectly across fountain ink papers. It does soak through Moleskine but that is expected. I love it and you probably will too.

Sheen is amazing, it almost looks like it glows!

First of all, this is the most attractive navy blue ink I've ever seen. I have about 30 different bottles of fountain pen inks, but this is one of my favorites. It's smooth, works great in all of my fountain pens regardless of brands, and doesn't really feather on any of my paper, except for the cheapest brands. I would have definitely given this gorgeous ink five stars, but it doesn't have any of the advertised qualities that drew me to the ink in the first place. There is no blue to red gradient. At all. None on Clairefontaine Rhodia paper, none on stationery, none on Mintgreen, or Five Star, or journal paper, or even the dollar tree crap that I use for scratch paper. This assessment includes ef nibs, medium nibs, flat, bladed nibs, or even cotton swabs, whether you shake the bottle first or not. No sheen, either. On occasion, I see a faint tinge of dark purple around the edge of a navy line, and that's about it. Despite the fact that it doesn't do any of that, the gorgeous shade of blue can't be ignored. It has the beautiful quality you'd expect from a diamine ink, and a very lovely, no-clot flow regardless of what type or brand of pen I have put it in. I have zero complaints. It will likely remain in my top three go-to inks. If it had been as advertised, I'd have given it five stars. Highly recommend as long as you manage your expectations.

This ink is perfect for fun aesthetic letters to friends. The sheen is red, so it writes blue, but tilt the paper and it looks red.

Lovely blue but not seeing any sheen, ive tried it on Paperblank acid free paper and CD notebook specifically for ink pens. Edit - On MD Midori paper you really see the pink and the sheen.

Diamine è una marca di inchiostri con un elevato rapporto qualità/prezzo. Quello in oggetto, proviene da una collezione realizzata per il calendario d'avvento 2019 (Inkvent blue '19), entrato poi in linea di produzione regolare. Flusso e lubrificazione molto buoni, colore saturo e pieno di variazioni (shading) dal turchese al blu elettrico. Su carta adeguata (Non quella da fotocopie, reciclata, ecc.), liscia e adatta a stilografiche mostra dei frequenti riflessi vinaccia/marrone. Molto bello. Anche per uso quotidiano, visto il prezzo, più che adeguato
