3M 2080 G10 Gloss White 5ft x 4ft (20 Sq/ft) Car Wrap Vinyl Film

Needed to replace the faded and cracked stripes on my 13 year old Mini Cooper S. Dealer wanted crazy money for the Mini branded decals. I looked around and could find them from third parties, but all of the reviews were so-so. Decided to use this vinyl to make my own stripes and worst case, the overall investment isn't too much. After some trial and error and adjusting my technique, they came out great! The vinyl has a back layer and then a clear layer on top to it's easy to work with and not scratch them. Thickness was perfect for a standard sharp razor blade cutting on cardboard. It's been about 6 months now and no issues. Obviously, the vinyl has lots of potential uses, but anything like stripes, decals, graphics, lettering, this product would work well for. I ordered white so I can't comment on how well other colors look or are true to color. White is bright and clean. Exactly what you would expect from a 3M product.

This overall was good quality material. It sticks to surfaces well and with a little water and baby soap you can give yourself some extra work time before it sticks. We got this to wrap our kitchen cabinets as an experiment vs. painting them, which itself is an experiment if we can make that good enough to skip a larger remodel. The material worked well and was relatively easy to work with on the the larger surfaces such as the sides. It was also reasonable for the front facing door surrounds. Where we struggled was with the door panes where the routed edges of the decorative frame were hard to work with. I think I will need more time at YouTube University before I try another door.

The most important part of this installation is to have the original fit stretched cleanly on the vehicle's surface. Very helpful to do this with someone else. One extra person to hold one side. It will save you some heartache!

First time ever doing this and it was very easy to work with

I wanted to protect my girlfriends brand new ikea desk since she does make up- which could easily stain. Ikea unfortunately does not make a glass top for this one, so I wrapped it for easy cleaning. “Semi-easy” to work with. The material is great, just not my wrapping skills. Overall, it turned out great. Stretchable, sticky, strong, ultra-pure white, easy to cut, beautiful high-gloss finish and it arrived in 3 days after ordering. I will buy another roll again to finish a few more ikea pieces because now they look like trash compared to the glossy 3M ones lol.

Top quality. It works much better than the less expensive brands.

Recently replaced dented tailgate on my truck. It was way easier/cheaper to find a new sheet metal skin for the tailgate, instead of repairing the existing tailgate. The only downside was that the replacement sheet metal needed to either be painted or wrapped to match truck. As a DIY project, wrapping turned out to be the better choice (as opposed to priming/painting). I don't have the tools for applying automotive paint but, even if I did, wrapping is way less work, less messy, and probably cheaper. I was a little hesitant since I had never wrapped anything, but I bought some extra material and I watched a few YouTube tutorials and it turned out great on the first attempt (see attached picture). I did not even need the extra material.

This is fantastic wrap! I put it on my motorcycle this past winter, and wanted to wait a season to give a full review. It has held up so well through rain, dirt, and washes. Having the smaller sheets made it really easy to use (especially since motorcycle parts are smaller anyway). I totally recommend the wrap since even as a first time user, it was really easy to get the hang of how to use the vinyl. I’m glad that my paint can be protected and my bike looks great too!

This vinyl was better than expected. It has been on the front of my car for the past two years. Highway driving, rain, snow, car washes, it’s seen it all and it is still nicely stuck on. A great quick fix!
