I gave it five stars because after adjusting to it, and not worrying about the little things and the false advertising of the "up to 40 hours", I find this mister a great quiet device that will impact a 400 SF room and increase the humidity level. Let's start with the cons: 1. In the manual that came with the mister, and on the Amazon site it states, "up to 40 hours". Well, it might as well say up to 100 years, because both will be true, but none real. I filled the water tank and placed it to work on the Low mist setting ONLY. The tank was empty after exactly 27 hours. Yes, it worked great, very quiet, and efficient for 27 nonstop hours! So, 40? Not in this world, no matter what you do to it. Of course, it will work even less on the Medium and the High settings, but I went with the Low only. 2. You can see in one of the images I added here that due to condensation at the top of the unit (mist nozle), there's water that needs to be removed before you remove the top in order to lift the water tank, else you'll have water all over your night-stand, bed, table, or wherever you placed the unit. This is not a flaw, but something I bring to your attention. Have a small towel of paper-towel next to the unit. 3. The Essential Oil tray, after pressed in, pops out a fraction of an inch and there's no way to simply slide it out. I had to force the little tray after another reviewer commented that he experienced the same issue. After pinching the tray, it pops out completely (see the two images I attached) and you can place a few drops of essential oil. The good: 1. A gallon of water in the tank makes it running for a long time (up to 27 hours). 2. The unit is very quiet and doesn't take a lot of room on the night-stand. 3. The mist setting levels (Low, Medium, High) have one toggle touch button and you can't turn the unit OFF unless you went through all three levels even if you only use the Low mist level. The manual indicates that if you touch the On/Off button for three seconds it turns OFF the LIGHT in the button, but not the unit. This is actually a good thing because the blue light from the button can be turned off, especially if you intend to let the unit work through the night. 4. The unit has an Auto Shutoff sensor that will turn the unit OFF if there's no water in the tank. 5. The manual is simple to follow, even if it is falsely said that the unit can work "up to 40 hours". There's an explanation on how to clean the tank, the unit, etc. 6. Just like you should expect, the mister will perform best with Distilled water - it says so in the manual, and I know so from the different types I used in the past. Do not use tap water. Do I recommend it? Yes. It does what it supposed to do.

I purchased this humidifier in October 2019 I’ve been using it consistently, literally running it daily, since it arrived early November. So I think I can give a pretty fair review on how the product works and I must say I’m impressed. I’ve read reviews saying it leaves a film on furniture. That’s because they’re not using the correct water in their unit. If you use regular tap water in your unit the crap inside your tap water will result in a film on everything you own. This is a humidifier not a filtration system. The same goes for the comments about a pink slime in their units. Again, use the correct water (it’s in the instructions people). We clean our unit out with mild soap and hot water each time the tank empties. It’s super quick and easy to clean and then we fill it and bring it back upstairs where it resides in our kids bedroom. We have had zero issues with this unit and the only time it leaked a little was user error, we didn’t put the water unit on properly. Another time the mist didn’t come out but again, user error. Lifted the water unit off, dumped the water from the base and put the water unit back on, issue solved. It turns off automatically when the water runs out, the unit is silent as can be. Literally zero noise. It doesn’t run hot at all and we keep it on a wood piece of furniture and not a single hint of damage has been done to the dresser as a result. It has made us definitely interested in other Levoit products and hope to invest in their purifiers next. So thankful to have found this little gem as we have gone through MANY humidifiers before this one.

I use this for a cabinet that has plants inside. Humidifier works well. Easy to operate with app which is the feature I wanted most so I can control the humidity with my phone when I am away. However, the built in hygrometer isnt too accurate. I have a freestanding hygrometer next to it which I use to monitor the humidity levels and it somewhat different from the Humidifier's built in hygromenter which the unit uses to control when to turn the mist on or off. I can work with that, but the one feature that is annoying is sometimes the humidifier will not shut off at the set max humidity level I set. Sometime I come home from the end of the day and the inside of the cabinet is soaked and dripping water from every horizontal edge. Misting is still coming out even tho the setting may be at 68%. But overall, it is great. I have 4 of them (all work the same with the occasional overmisting). It is a tradeoff I dont mind with this model so I can use it with the app. It COULD be that the plants are blocking or interfering with the built in hygrometer and it isnt capturing a correct reading. I tried moving the plants around, but it does this so infrequently it is hard to pinpoint problem.

UPDATE: so i’ve had this for like, 8 months. my one issue with it is … it smells. i use distilled water. i clean it after every use and allow it to dry (i set up a small desk fan pointing straight inside of it to dry it even better) - there’s no smell once i clean it, of course. then, i add a gallon of distilled water and set it up and within a few hours (i run it on the lowest setting, and i’m sure this is the issue. because this makes it go longer than 24 hours [though this smell happens wayyy before 24 hours]. i’d guess the water lasts about 40 hours on low), it stinks up the room it’s in. it smells like when clothes don’t dry all the way. that mildew smell. when i take it apart to clean it, there’s pink stuff (bacteria) in a lot of places, especially this one piece that comes off (only way to clean it properly - see pics). this would be so perfect if it just didn’t stink up the whole area it’s in. when you smell the water coming out, while the humidifier is running, it smells like mildew and it just makes ya feel like you’re spreading that all over the room. so, my advice is - don’t run this for longer than a few hours without cleaning it. i really wish it would last a whole gallon. i don’t know what to do to make this not happen. i follow the instructions for cleaning. again, there’s no smell after cleaning and when it’s first in use. i’d love to know how to make sure this doesn’t happen. i’m fine with having to clean it. that’s just what you have to do. it’s water in a closed container. but does it have to smell.. and so soon? 😩 still absolutely love the app. ORIGINAL: I am IN LOVE with this (had to say it again). I absolutely recommend it. I haven’t tried to clean it yet, but I looked at how the humidifier is put together and read the manual and it doesn’t seem all that hard - if that changes, I’ll edit this. But honestly, I was so nervous about this purchase. I looked at soooo many options and it was so overwhelming. I’m glad I settled on this one. The app is really cool. I don’t even touch the humidifier to control it at all. My son named it Wally. I have 2 hygrometers because I have a ton of houseplants and, while it’s not changing the humidity drastically (it’s not meant to. it’s meant to keep it comfortable. this isn’t gonna put your humidity at 80-90% or anything even close to that), it helps so much. Obviously I haven’t had it long enough to tell for my plants, but my boyfriends been really stuffed up and he’s been bragging about how helpful this has been. Within an hour of me having it on, he noticed a difference. We have a small 2 bedroom (752 sq ft) and I think it does well for the whole house, honestly. My hygrometer which was about 6 feet away, got to 54% with it on the second mist setting. I’ve only kept it on for a few hours at a time. I’ll set it for 4 hours here and there. I love that the app allows you to turn it off and on, set a timer for it, set how much mist you want. And you can direct the mist. It’s SUPER quiet. My space heaters are wayyy louder than this thing. 10/10 recommend. Absolutely.

I have gone through a few diffusers now that just didn't hold up well and really don't give off as much vapor as most humidifiers. The problem I was having was most humidifiers out there do not offer any diffuser options for essential oils. That's when I found this unit and I couldn't be happier. It was a bit more expensive than some of the other options, but definitely worth it. The humidifier is really powerful with three settings. Honestly, for light diffuser use I found the lightest setting to more powerful than other cheaper diffusers. The higher settings are almost a bit overkill or really only needed for high humidying needs. Still nice to have though. There is one main power button and you just hit it once for the lightest setting, again for the second which changes the color, and again for the highest which is another color. Really simple and straight forward. You can also hold down the button which turns the light off while it still runs which is super cool as most other units I have found have an annoying power button which stays on while you're trying to sleep. It's really easy to use too. I like that the top container is separate from the base so you don't risk damanging the electric components while cleaning and it's relatively easy to clean. It's also nice that the diffuser thing is just a little pad you apply the oils to located on the back of the unit. It's really easy to use and add more oils to and it keeps the rest of the unit pretty clean from oil residue and buildup. In summary... Pros -Diffuser option with powerful humidifier (pretty hard to find) -Relatively easy to keep clean -Easy to add more essential oils -Three powerful settings with easy to toggle power button -Option to turn off the power light while running so it stays dark while sleeping Cons -It's still easy to use, but I guess it would be nice to have the option to add more water to the top without having to take it off from the base and unscrew it. I'm really lazy. -Again, not crucial, but some other units have a remote which this one does not.

This is hands-down the best humidifier I've owned, and several months later it's still going strong. I first had a HomEdics one that didn't last more than 6 months, and the nozzle wasn't very posable. It was a pain to refill and held bacteria in the tank because I couldn't fit a brush to scrub it. I tried a Vicks cool mist humidifier after, and it was easier to fill and had a slot for vicks vapor rub essential oil pads. It was better, but loud and the light never turned off which made sleeping disruptive. It was also clunky and odd-shaped to store. This was such a winning find. The tank is very large and the shape itself makes it neutral and sleek-looking, it's a slim rectangle so it can fit easily on a nightstand or dresser. I like that it's adjustable in 2 ways for the vapor nozzle on top, so you can concentrate or diffuse the mist in one or two directions. It's very quiet, and soothing as well. There isn't ambient lighting, though the touch-power panel lights up a color depending on the intensity of mist you want. It comes apart easily to clean and even comes with a scrub brush for the nooks and crannies. It isn't top-fill, but it's leak proof when you fill the reservoir and replace it on the tank body. I love that it also has a little drawer slot so you can use the vicks vapor pads and it diffuses the scent without contaminating the water! (If a humidifier says you can add oils to the water tank, that's a lie. Don't do that. Get an oil diffuser, not one for breathing). It comes with a reusable cotton pad to add your own essential oils too, and it stays seperate from the water and machinery. The only con I'd say is that the power button is a touch panel and is really sensitive, so it can accidentally get pressed easily and turned up or off or on. Tips: - always ONLY use distilled water. This is important to keep nastiness from mineralizing in the machine and in your lungs. - keep it cleaned. I wash after every single use with white vinegar (the tank is perfectly sized for 1 day/overnight use so water shouldn't sit idle in it) I definitely recommend this if you or your family, especially little ones, have bad congestion and enjoy the options of having essential oils diffused or just plain cool mist.

Before I got to try the humidifier the essential oil tray broke because it was so hard to get open. It would only click open about 1/2 and inch and I had to pry it open the rest of the way and then it broke. I emailed the company and they were quick and eager to respond and rectify the problem, very great customer service. The essential oil tray being difficult to open and breaking is why I took a star away but the humidifier itself is decent. It’s mostly quiet (it does have a slight hum but it’s not very loud at all even in its highest setting) and holds a lot of water. On lowest setting it runs for probably a day and a half but on highest setting it runs for about 12 hours. We use 2, one for the living room and one for the front room which are large rooms but the two humidifiers together get the job done. EDIT 2/8/22 I took away another star long story short our furnace was having problems running and after changing the filters 4 times (and each time it looked clean) and having an HVAC tech come out twice all within 1 month we figured out the problem was our humidifiers giving off white dust (hence why the filters looked clean because it’s hard to see a white dust on a white filter) and clogging our filters. After some research there are only 2 kinds of humidifiers that produce white dust, impellerportable humidifiers and like this humidifier, ultrasonic. You can buy distilled water to use instead of tap water to fix the problem, and partly it is my fault for not doing the research and reading a large handful of the reviews before getting the humidifier but if I had known this I would not have gotten this humidifier because I do not want to spend extra money on distilled water to run my humidifiers all day and night.

Excelente humidificador. Me gusto mucho lo simple que es la operación: un tanque de agua y un botón... listo! La capacidad de elevar la humedad relativa no es muy, por no encontrar una mejor palabra, "potente" Los días que el ambiente estaba extremadamente seco se acababa el tanque dos veces en 10 horas y la humedad relativa no subía mucho. Podría ser que estoy exigiendo más de lo que el aparato es capaz de hacer y eso no lo hace malo, pero al no tener experiencia previa con estos aparatos no puedo estar seguro. De lo que si estoy seguro es que me gusto mucho y seguro compraré otro igual el próximo invierno(o tal vez en los próximos días) Hasta donde pude investigar, no es fácil conseguir más de 500ml/h por el precio que uno compra este, así que creo que preferiría comprar 3 equipos iguales a este que uno muy grande en una sola área. Solo un comentario: la humedad tiende a condensarse en la tapa superior(y en cualquier cosa que esté muy cerca de la salida de la bruma) pero me imagino que eso es propio de cualquier aparato que libere humedad. En resumen: 100% recomendable opción por capacidad y precio

He comprado varios y diferentes humidificadores, algunos del doble de precio. En relación a la calidad y precio es de lo mejor en el rango. Tiene buena bruma, es alta, si tiene instructivo y las pautas de cuidado, la app te indica el nivel de humedad que hay y el que alcanza, tiene temporizador programable y te recuerda que debes lavarlo. Seguro hay mejores con más precio... Yo quisiera no haber comprado los otros y que todas las habitaciones tuvieran éste... Material más resistente, bastante capacidad, fácil y práctico de movilizar...
