Great quality of books , fun, to use , great pictures

We received another Sara Ball book called "Crocguphant" in a box of used books from a family member. Our 14 month old son LOVES that book so I took a look around for other books illustrated by Sara Ball and found this. Like the larger Crocguphant, this book has an animal on each page, but each page is divided into thirds so you can flip just a portion of it and thus the animal now has a new head or whatever and thus is an all new, made up animal. The opposite side of each page has the name of the animal broken into thirds so the name page also flips to come up with new animal names.This book is pretty large for a little kid, so can only look at it on the floor with my 14 month old. It is of really great quality and I'm looking forward to enjoying it with him for years to come. It is not spiral bound like some of Sara Ball's older titles.

I think I’ve bought this book at least twice, and I’m about to order my third copy- not because it’s poorly made, but because the think has been so ridiculously beloved by my kindergarten students that it’s eventually morphed into a mass of packing tape and hot glue. Kids LOVE flipping the pages to create crazy dinosaur combinations- okay, and adults kind of do to. The illustrations line up perfectly, the fun facts are quick and interesting, the jumbled names are silly and fun- the whole thing just WORKS. Highly recommend

Toddler absolutely loves the Book. All he can say is dino as the names are hard for now. There's words for when they start Reading too. Well made and stand up to rough treatment.

My grandson is crazy about dinosaurs and I could not have found a more fun and entertaining book for him. The illustrations are great, the pages are large and easy to turn, there are lots of options for creating new dinosaurs and the drawings on each page blend with other pages. I cannot begin to tell you how much fun this book as been.

This was a gift for our son and he loves it. His older brother loves dinosaurs and often reads it to him. Such a neat concept and a great addition to our library. Being the third child it's hard to find unique books that we don't already own to gift and this was such an exciting find.

Very large, well made book. Hard pages throughout. Kept my grandsons amused for hours making different, strange dinosaurs. What as particularly good was the name of each dinosaur split into 3 parts at the top of each page which then created a new name for each of their new creations. Good for children who cannot read as well.

The book is great, the illustrations are so good and the information about each dinosaur is really helpful. We love making different dinosaurs.

My son asked for a dinosaur jigsaw that you could make different dinosaurs out of, for his birthday and this was the closest I could find to what he was on about. He was pleased with it despite it not being a jigsaw puzzle. It is well made and nicely illustrated.

Fun, beautifully drawn, and according to my son-in-law dinosaur expert, pretty accurate on the basis of current science (his only quibble was that a couple of the creatures - the aquatic one, if I remember correctly - are technically not dinosaurs, but who cares!)

A wonderful book loved by young children from 3-7 years. I brought one in the Natural History Museum and as it was so good, I wanted a second for a gift.
