Great test kit
I am planning to get pregnant and I want to make sure I am making a good environment for baby making. Also great for monitoring ph if you are trying to use the alkaline diet. Since using these strips I have been able to tell what foods are messing with my ph and have been able to raise my ph from about 5 to about 6.5. The good: -Lots of strips. -Case... it holds the strips and is clear plastic so I can see through it to compare my stick to the color chart without cross contaminating the other strips. -It is easy to read, and the comparison chart is easy to use. The bad: -The strips are all attached and you have to tear off each on individually. Had to do without touching the test strip on the other end. I just cut them all at once. -The paper comparison chart is paper. Do not get a drop of water/whatever on it. I just flip it and compare it through the case. -The paper falls out of the case and is hard to pick up without touching the wrong end of the strip. I use a little piece of tape to keep it in the lid. It does what it should, and for the price I would buy again.

These Are The Best pH Test Strips That I Have Found!
For me, I have tried many type of these pH Test Strips. Some are a roll tape style. Others are the strips but come in a hard to open case. However, these come in a handy and easy to open case that contains 100 strips. The strip is very easy to read the compare with the sample readout on the case. It is easy to use the strip and the cost is reasonable. This is the type of test strips that I will continue to buy because the quality is the best!

well made and work well
I find the strips to be easy to use, and the colors are bright and easy to check. The strip is mostly just a handle, with the active section of color just on one end. The strips come as a bundle in a small plastic bag. I find it advisable to keep the bag of strips away from a sink or toilet because a mishap can occur with water splash or dropping the bundle. I generally don't urinate directly onto the strip; I fill up a small plastic cup and dip the strips in there so I can try a few different brands of strips I have on the same sample.

I goofed
I got all excited about checking my ph level after reading about how being to acid was bad for your health. I ordered these and then found out they covered too wide of a ph range and weren't appropriate for my use. I gave three stars but can't offer a better opinion because I never used them. If you have the same requirement that I did - look for the strips that read in 0.2 increments.

Best I've tried.
Based on my experience so far, these are about the best. These strips are easier to read than some other brands of pH paper that I've used. The colors that you get on the strips when you test something match the colors on the chart. Some other brands of test strips are hard to read because the colors do not match the colors on their charts. Another thing I like about the Vaxa pH test strips is that they have a strong plastic base and seem to stay together very well. In other words, they are easy to handle and they don't just fall apart when you take them out of the box. To me, if there is anything at all negative about the test strips, if would be that they seem a bit overpriced.

Readings Not Accurate - large acidic bias
Bought these and one other brand of test strips. My first reading was around 5.0 and after going back and reading reviews on this product, I did what one other 2 star reviewer did, tested our water (well water with a lab test of neutral 7.0) and got a reading of approximately 5.5. Conclusion, these strips are not accurate and heavily biased to the acidic side. I concur with another reviewer, they are probably intended to be biased to sell some of their alkalizing products.

Caution. Accuracy in question
The results of these strips didn't look right so I decided to test them. Water is a neutral 7.0. First I tried carbon-filtered tap water and got a reading of 5.0. While carbon filters aren't perfect, water should never be that acidic. To be sure I bought a jug of distilled water from the pharmacy. To make sure nothing could skew the results I got a strip from the bag, opened the jug, stuck the strip in for 2 seconds, pulled it out and took a reading. It was 5.0 with a bit of color (maybe 5.2). That can't be good readings. The strips must be old or bad. Either way I caution you not to make health decision based on your strips until you verify to your satisfaction your batch is accurate.
