It was listed as "acceptable" but honestly the textbook is in great conditions, other than very slight wear on the corners of the cover, everything else looks brand new!

My complaint about most textbooks is that they tend to ...
My complaint about most textbooks is that they tend to work only simple problems, then leave for exercises the very hardest problems which, if you know the material, are related, but if you're trying to learn, are not. I haven't felt that problem with this book, and I also find the information very accessible even though it is quite advanced for an intro course, and my major is actually Computer Science.

A nice two volume set
Well written and presented. A nice two volume set. apparently it is packaged in different forms, including as a single volume, and maybe as a simplified version too. The classic two-volume set is what I have and know. More solved problems and their variations would be nice.

Great Book
Using it as my textbook right now and I absolutely love it. The explanations are both accessible and insightful. Though most of the contents aren't really going in depth, it's still more than enough to be an awesome college-level physics book for a non-physics major student

Damaged beyond expectations, bad reviews removed by seller
The book received had pages torn out, was incredibly written in, and was beat up far beyond "light wear". I wrote a complaint and amazon removed it for "violating community guidelines" even though I adhered to all of them. Seller is removing the negative reviews before they can get posted

Physics Book Bought Used
First off I bought this text book (brand new) from a seller of used books. The seller, like some other sellers of used books, put the book in a cheap envelope. When the book arrived in the mail the envelope was torn on 3 of the 4 corners and the top of the book was slightly indented in a few areas. As for the text book itself after studying only the first 4 chapters it is obvious the authors are fans of relativity even though the text's material is supposed to be a calculus based introduction of mechanics. They do offer some challenging problems to solve. So far I found just one mistake, the wrong sign used in an example problem in chapter 4. Overall, comparing this book to the one used for previous classes of algebra based mechanics and electromagnatism (double book version) I would rate this text a C.

Quite simply the best book at this level (1st year University Physics). Combine it with Volume 2. High quality detailed writing and excellent problems.
