Spigen Rugged Armor Designed for Pixel 4a 5G Case (2020) - Matte Black

If you buy a cell phone, I highly recommend the most rugged case that you can get, and this is it! I have dropped my phone on hard concrete several times and there's not a scratch on the glass, even after several years of abuse. It also has that little kick-stand so that you can watch (landscape) movies or Zoom videoconferences without holding your phone. Even if you don't go for a phone protection plan, consider this better than an insurance policy.

It was purchased for a Google Pixel 4A and is a perfect fit. It also feels good in the hand. Winner!

When I look for a phone case I want a design that provides adequate protection, does not add bulkiness and looks good. The Spigen Rugged for Pixel 4a 5G checks all those boxes!It fits pretty snugged, all the holes and buttons align perfectly and the rubber feels pretty strong. I also like the fact that it helps you find the fingerprint sensor in the back easier than without it.The only drawback that I find and why I didn't give it a 5 star rating, is that the case lacks grip, its too smooth for its own good. Even the ridges on the sides don't provide enough grip. If you take extra care when handling your phone and don't have flimsy hands, this is a solid case at a great price.

I used this brand on my previous phone, which I dropped several times in the four years I owned it, and that phone never broke. Hard to say if that was due to the case, or due to the phone.This is NOT a thick plastic case ... it's a fairly thin, rubbery case that fits my phone very well. It's great for people who slide their phones in their pockets or keep them in thin compartments in purses, because it adds very little bulk to the phone. All the holes (charger, headphone jack, speaker, microphones, camera lens & fingerprint reader) matched up just right with the phone, as did the rubber covers on the power and volume buttons. I also like that these cases have textured grip areas near the top and bottom that are even less slippery than the rest of the case.One tip... stick a small piece of paper, or better yet, an address label with your e-mail added, in between the phone and the case. That way, if you lose your phone and someone finds your it and is honest enough to want to return it, they can contact you by e-mail or drop your phone off at the address you provided.Hopefully this case will keep my phone safe for four years, like my previous Spigen did!

This is my second Spigen case. I had one for my Moto G5 and it served me well throughout the life of the phone so it was a no brainer to get one for my new Pixel 4a 5G. It fits perfectly and has caused no problems with fitting any cable or with sound quality. The 4a is a little wonky as far as the earpiece in that you have to line the tiny speaker up with your ear just right to get the best sound. I haven't found this case to make that any worse so my experience doesn't match some reviews that have complained of that.This case has made my 4a a pleasure to use. It was terrifying to use for the week that I waited for my case. It is slippery and thin. The case makes it feel great in the hand and has a grippy feel that makes it feel secure and adds just enough thickness to improve the grip. The fingerprint reader is now easy to use because it is now recessed enough to guide your finger right to it.The Spigen Rugged Armor case is excellent and a great value. I am quite surprised they are as inexpensive as they are.

haven't dropped this one much yet, but always had good luck with these cases on previous phones. this case doesn't add water protection and if dropped just the wrong way a sharp object could crack your screen so get a screen protector to go with this case.

I would typically say that if you don't like cases on your phone, it adds some bulk, but the 4a5G seems to be built to have a case. I seriously think the Spigen case only makes this phone feel better and more like a premium phone.I've used the 4a 5G for about 4 days without a case and it's just not well designed to be used without a case. The camera bump and hard to find fingerprint reader are especially troubling without a case. This case protects the camera bump and makes the fingerprint reader easy to find!
