I just installed these 3-4 days ago. The first photo I had it set on light blue and it works just fine, I loved it. I tried to adjust to red, and as you can see suddenly only half the strip even turns on. Then I tried to set it to light pink, And the color turns to dark blue. Literally no point of a color changing light here. Barely works and the sticky adhesive isn’t even holding up well. Disappointed in this product. Also the remote won’t work, only the app. Update: seller messaged me IMMEDIATELY after this review and have another one on the way and apologized about the defective product. The quickest customer service I’ve ever had! 10/10

Set them up last night and they never turned on or anything she plugged in they have a little blue light but I can not control them at all not from my phone not from the remote control but I’d like to get a new pair for free I’m mad that it’s not working how they should be

I love this product. Bight, easy to use, simple set up. IT gives me all available colour options and pairs with Alexa/google flawlessly. It ranges from sterol blue/white to a hot yellow/tan and obviously with RGB capabilities, adds colours too. It's a pretty high quality material, but it is still a very low-profile/thin light strip, so you must not bend it too harshly or damage it too much or you could lose connection to some of the nodes. Overall I own 2 of these kits and they work amazingly well. I was able to give my room "aura" with it and really contrast the staple lighting of just yellow overhead bulbs. I can control them together in units or individually which is always a plus, and since they are super easy to set up and use, I'd recommend them for just about anywhere in the house that needs more, better, or cool lighting. The one thing to be aware of is that they adhesive on the back is both not the strongest, but also can take paint off the walls if it isn't a gloss finish. Just a heads up for apt owners/ renters. If you run into trouble with it staying up, I've found that using a line of masking tape underneath the light strip aids with moth these issues since it does not damage paint, but gives a more adhesive surface area.

Update: after installing these, I had them on for maybe an hour at most. Well today I noticed they are glowing when when they are not on. I've tried unplugging them and plugging them back in, this glow remains. Meaning they are constantly draining electricity even when not turned on. (They do turn off when unplugged). I tried to do a refund, but it says I have to return them in good condition... Which is impossible as they are already installed. There never going to be usable anywhere else. I'm quite upset with these. I am never buying these kinds of lights again. I bought these to replace the old ones I had in the same place, the old ones had been there about 3 years without issue till some lights started going red or orange. I was super exited about these ones as they work with Alexa (my previous ones I upgraded to an Alexa plug but still needed the remote to change colors if wanted). I stream and wanted these for stream alerts (flash purple for twitch, red for YouTube, green for kick) and also wanna control them with lumia stream. I washed the wall, allowed it to dry, then started to put these lights up. The adhesive isn't nearly as sticky as my old set (That strip was so stuck the strip broke several times removing it) The stickiness isn't consistent at all. I ended up having to cut the roll short because it refused to stick and was getting deformed from my multiple attempts to get it to work, cutting ✂️ it was a last resort. Connecting the DayBetter app and linking it to Alexa was a breeze (faster than most Alexa devices!) I was quite impressed with the ease of setup. However, once I tried changing the colors I was quite disappointed. I made a video where you can hear me changing the colors and see what I mean. They actually look a lot better in the video than in person. Perhaps I just got lucky with my old lights. They were the cheapest on Amazon at the time that I bought them (I was new to Amazon, and hadn't yet learned that buying the cheapest is probably a waste of money and hassle returning it). Unfortunately, I don't even know the brand of my old ones because they were advertised as a certain brand, the ad even showed the colorful box they came in, etc... however, when I received it, it was in a generic black and white box with no brand anywhere on it, not even on the instructions. I even contacted Amazon about it as some friends suggested, but by this time the lights were already up and worked great. Unfortunately, I'm now stuck with these disappointing ones as they're already installed. I did test them first, but not as completely. I did make sure they turned on and off with Alexa, they originally turned on green and I changed it to white and it worked... Unfortunately, I didn't change it to every single cokor. I wish I would have because then I couldve just returned them. Maybe it's my fault for not just buying the Alexa light strips (it was a hard choice as Alexa strips have bad reviews too) This is my last time buying light strips. They are too much hassle and the quality just isn't there. I think the govee lights might be the answer (that's what other streamer friends use) and it seems like the phrase "you get what you pay for" holds true here ... These are good for something right now, until you can afford better ... or maybe they're good for some sorry of crafty use too.

Exactly as advertised! Lights work perfectly with the SMART LIFE app. Setup took a couple of seconds as the app detected the lights as soon as i plugged them in. To get the lights in pairing mode just plug them in and unplug them 3 times quickly. I will update this review if needed.

I put them under my bed frame and around my desk and they’re amazing. The app works nicely and I was even able to connect them to my google home. Very convenient (and pretty cool).

I like this product

Install was pretty easy. I was able to get it done by myself. The adhesive works fairly well just make sure to firmly press it down and make sure the area it will be applied to is clean and dry. Set up was a bit confusing and took some time to work out what I was supposed to be doing. But once installed everything works well with any of the input methods. The remote, app or voice control with Alexa. The only thing I'm a bit disappointed with is I thought it would be able to do moving lighting effects. For example alternating colours as it goes around the room. It can not from what I've found and all lights on the whole strip are always the same colour at the same time. The whole strip can fade from one colour to the next but there's not multiple colours on at once. Other than that it's been a good buy.
