Gave My Chimney a Spa Day โ Now Itโs Smug, Sealed, and Storm-Proof for Years
My chimney used to leak like it was emotionally unstable. Rainstorms? Cue the buckets. Snow? Instant anxiety. Then I found this crown sealer โ thick, brushable, and clingy in a way that actually helps your relationship with your roof. It spreads on like frosting, fills every crack like itโs got a grudge against moisture, and dries into a rock-solid barrier that laughs in the face of rain, snow, sleet, and freeze-thaw drama. Application was surprisingly easy โ just grab a brush and channel your inner Bob Ross. Took me less than an hour and I didnโt even have to Google โhow to fix a chimney leakโ afterward. Weeks later, storms rolled through andโฆ nothing. Dry as a dad joke in the desert. If your chimney is crying for help, this is the therapy it needs โ easy to apply, built to last, and tough enough to survive whatever the sky throws at it.

Prep well and succeed
While long term results can't be guaranteed, initial impressions are very good. As long as you prepare the surface correctly, this stuff will stick well. One negative review I saw showed the product had been applied to a very dirty surface. Just like painting, surface prep is one of the most important steps in the process. As well as a chimney cap, it was applied to the top of a small retaining wall along our driveway and looks a lot better than bare concrete.

work great
just as described, it worked well I painted the cap of my chimney. It's nice and solid and a rightness about a year after I put it up. It's still working fine.

Goes on easily, hope it works
Four stars because I only applied it last month. But so far, so good in an exceptionally rainy fall in the Pacific Northwest. When a puddle appeared in front of my gas fireplace insert, I tied a rope around the chimney and got up on the roof. There were cracks in the chimney crown which seemed to be made of crumbly mortar. Maddening because the mason charged me a fortune for it not very long ago. The product was easy to apply. There are some very good YouTube instructional videos incl. one that features a woman applying the product and talking thru all phases. I have a large chimney with three stacks so had to a lot to cover on a steep roof. My work wasn't quite as neat (bring a wet rag with you) and I think I applied it too thick because it wasn't quite set up when I climbed down. Rain started again shortly after but no water got in and everything has been dry since. It looks good from the street and so there's no water getting into the chimney. Recommended.

Great stuff, easy to use.
Worked well, it has a consistency similar to peanut-butter. Let it dry between coats. Effective to use duct tape to mark off above and below, then peel off the duct tape once dry for a nice clean line. I used 3 coats. For cracks, I used latex caulk, and was able to paint this on right over top of the caulk, no worries. I am happy that I used 3 large moving blankets that I taped to the chimney and draped underneath, as that caught a few drops and splashes. This is latex, so make sure you use in conjunction with genuine latex caulk, don't second guess the instructions and go silicone.

Seals Crowns
Had a cracked crown that really leaked down into the chimney cavity. Found this stuff on Amazon. Got a chimney guy here in Australia to apply it while he was cleaning the chimney. Since then we've had record rain and no leaks so it must be working. The chimney guy in Australia hadn't heard of it before but was really impressed and did a deal where he took the remaining and reduced my bill! Time will tell if it lasts but so far it's saved me at least a few hundred dollars.

Great stuff
Wire brushed the cap, then applied only one thick coat as the temp was falling and rain was in the forecast. Luckily the rain held out for 5 or 6 hours and it all went smoothly. Went back up on the roof a week later and it was completely cured and bonded perfect. Used about 2/3rds of the pail will apply second coat in the spring. Time will tell if it lasts. Update...After a long cold winter it was perfect, used the rest of the pail to fill in any depressions etc in early spring. Looks great.
