Excellent ice-pack for neck and shoulders. Folds up to fit into the freezer nicely, and fits well to sooth neck, shoulders, and upper back.

My husband and I race to get to this thing. I suffer from migraines, and we both have upper back strain from working at a desk all day (he's a programmer, I'm an illustrator), and sometimes cold relief is just what those muscles need! The build quality is not the best (the other reviews aren't joking about the super cheap snap, nor about the fact that this thing will choke you if you're trying to wear it while sitting up), but I find the soft fuzzy side more comfortable and love laying in bed with this on my back. I find that it stays cold enough long enough to be a relief (so about an hour or so for me, I tend to run kinda cold), and I like the softer gel beads. I used packs of ice and even those freezer packs that say not to put on the skin for years, and I prefer this for migraine and upper back relief. If multiple members of your family suffer migraines/back tension, and you have the freezer space, go ahead and buy two, that way you don't have to share.

Pro’s: great back and shoulder coverage. High on back of neck. Reaches over shoulders. Stays cold for a loooong time. Two sides: 1) a smooth Icey side and 2) soft velvety side. Great if you don’t want it freezing cold vs just cold. The storage bag is great for the freezer and the texture keeps it from doing what a freezer bag would. Fantastic stitching, no issues and I’ve used it daily.Cons: I don’t like the plastic snap. I wish it was Velcro. As other pictures show, the neck is tight. I am not a big person and have a slender long neck and it’s still challenging to to snap if you don’t position it correctly on your back/neck. Leaning over a bit helps with this. I think since I have a thinner neck it also doesn’t lay flush as someone who may have more meat on their neck. So I have to pull it down in the front where the snap is or it will slide back. The other option is to lay down so it stays on my neck where I need it. Minor detail and would only be fixed with Velcro but I also realize that may make people feel like they were choking. I’d just like to have to not manually adjust it when wearing it.

I love this ice pack! I have severe fibro where it is very difficult to get through the day because of my neck and shoulder pain. This fits all over even you upper back area. It has a nice side were its covered in material so it feels nice to wear. Also, this comes with a plastic cover to place inside your freezer so it doesnt get smelly. I noticed it doesnt take too long either to freeze and lasts about an hour or so inbetween before you need to put it back. ONLY thing is the snap in the front. Its not made super strudy it comes unclasped. If you have a small upper frame it might be loose. I just place my under my sweatshirt or robe and its pretty snug and doesnt move. Hope that helps. I bought this cooling device to keep me cooler while working in a warm environment, while wearing PPE. I have to wear a cap, gown, gloves and booties while tending kittens at our shelter. I hoped that wearing this shoulder, neck cooler, under the gown, would make me more comfortable. It was great when I put it on and was ok for about 5 minutes. Because the weight is so much greater in the back, that part slipped down, causing the front neck part to cut into my neck. I pulled it forward a couple of times, but the last time, the flimsy snap opened and the whole thing fell on the floor.I haven't given up, as I like the soft, cool gel aspect. However, I'm going to try to alter it, somehow, and try to make it work better.If one used it in a prone position, I'm sure it would work much better.

I am someone who usually likes to wait a bit before I write a review, but I don't need to for this. Buy it it you have any neck/shoulder pain but it's also FANTASTIC for hip/lower back pain! I have a degenerative joint disease that leaves me having a lot of pain, especially at large joints like my shoulders and hips. I had used it twice and I already know it's life changing. It's obviously great for it's intended use, shoulders and neck, BUT it's also great for hip/lower back pain!!! I just placed it on my lower back and wrapped the shoulder extensions around my hips, and it was amazing!! I've fought with ice packs all my life to get relief. It's nice because I just sit down at the end of the day and rotate it between my neck and lower back every 20 minutes until it gets too warm and I'm good 😃

I've been involved in three car collisions in the last two years, and my husband is one last week, where we were hit by reckless drivers and as a result of it, are in a lot of pain - Living in WA state, this is a common occurrence, with the drivers being known to be the worst in the USA. Anyways, we ordered these ice packs to ease the pain, and its been working well. We use them at home and have brought them in the car when running errands. I would recommend to anybody looking to ease their pains.

I got this for dislocated shoulder pain. That model must be scrawny, because this ice pack didn’t come close to my shoulder. And it choked me around my fatty neck. HOWEVER it still gets 5 stars because the quality is there, with flexibility and comfort… so I took it off my neck and just wrapped it around my shoulder. It stayed in place. It was nice to lay on. Heads up: just like most ice packs it’s only cold for 20 minutes and still cool for 10-20 more, but such is life. It re-freezes in about 30 minutes also. So I switch it out with others as needed.Would I buy another? Nah. It’s probably best for those with neck pains. (And smaller necks).Would I return this one? Nope. It’s nice and does the job.Do I recommend it? If you just need an ice pack, I wouldn’t pay extra for this. Nearly any pack will do, honestly. But if you specifically have neck pains, or a surgery in this area, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one. Yes. Go for it.

Does a great job at icing however when placed in the freezer it gets hard and pretty wet, just be aware of that. It does stat cold for about 20 -30 min
